Metal gear solid story help

Ok i posted earlier about should i play the metal gear games in order to know what was happening in 4 , so i watched all the cutscenes from MGS 1 that were posted on youtube and found it fearly complicated, these are some facts i picked up could u correct me if im wrong thx

- Liquid snake is solid snakes brother

- Mg rex was that robot thing going to send a nuculear missle to russia

- Big boss is Liquid and solid snakes dad

I cant rember much else :P

Go to Wikipedia with the link I gave you and read the part about story for all of them. This will help you alot more then youtube and is an interesting read. Enjoy

Snake was used by the government as the catalyst to activate the FoxDie virus in the Genome army and in each of the six members of FOXHOUND. While he was there they also asked him to investigate FOXHOUNDS ability to launch a nuclear weapon. Turns out that they did have the ability because they had stolen Metal Gear Rex. Snake fights all six members of FOXHOUND and kills them all except for Ocelot who managed to escape with Metal Gear's test data. The end of the game reveals Ocelot talking to the President about the metal gear data.

ok thx for the help, i gota say i have never really took interest until the anouncement of mgs 4 but know the story sounds great, i will buy the third, and should i buy the second , or should iread the story or just buy both

liquid lives on in his own arm which is being used by Ocelot ... you got to love the crazyness of this series!!!

mgs3 is a prequel 1 and 2 would bring you upto date with the story

Didn't GameSpot do a piece on this? A "History of Metal Gear" article that sums up alot. It was a while ago, I'm thinking it might have been way back when they were videogames.com

liquid snake and solid snake are clones of big boss. mg rex is going to launch a nuclear strike all around the world, thats the whole point of metal gear, it can strike anywhere on the planet.
