Totall different games by overall MGS4 was the ultimate experice, during my first playthrough I was amazed at how beautiful the graphics and gameplay is.
I'm the kind of guy that can appreciate both genres, but GoW is just superior imo. A MGS game hasn't held me all the way through since MGS on PS1. But in GoW's case, I can't put it down until its done.
this is like comparing Final Fantasy to Guitar Hero, but anyway I think both series (MGS & GOW) deserve equal accolades. They are both the best series in their respective genres.
Definitely Metal Gear Solid. God of War is a great experience, and I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but it didn't really need a sequel. GoW2 and 3 are great games, but they just didn't add a whole lot to the series. The story in 2 and 3 was sort of lackluster. Metal Gear Solid on the other hand is an amazing experience all around. MGS4 was one of the few games that really got my heart pumping.
i love both equally, and both was the best experience i had in video games. but both totally different games u cant compare those two. besides why cant we enjoy and love more than ONE game anyways?
Can't compare, but if I had to pick a game I would get MGS4 over GOW3nightshade869
I love these both series. But if one of them would disappear like it never ever being released.I'd give up God of War...MGS it's a much deep and fun game.
MGS's plot is more interesting or at least contemporary and a possible future, although having turned a bit spy soap opera by number 4 now, to GOW, whichhas always been a greek tragedy myth, but i believe no one has gotten more thrills playing MGSs. The whole stealth approach contradicts that, which makes this a wrong comparison.For me it's GOW because i still find resonance with today's world.
