Totall different games by overall MGS4 was the ultimate experice, during my first playthrough I was amazed at how beautiful the graphics and gameplay is.
God of War makes me like hack n slash games, so I do love it, but that being said...
MGS Series wins by a long shot.
GoW is much more up my alley.
I'm the kind of guy that can appreciate both genres, but GoW is just superior imo. A MGS game hasn't held me all the way through since MGS on PS1.
But in GoW's case, I can't put it down until its done.

If fried is MGS3, then yeah - gimme that! :DLol. Fried>Grilled.
MGS's plot is more interesting or at least contemporary and a possible future, although having turned a bit spy soap opera by number 4 now, to GOW, whichhas always been a greek tragedy myth, but i believe no one has gotten more thrills playing MGSs. The whole stealth approach contradicts that, which makes this a wrong comparison. For me it's GOW because i still find resonance with today's world.
