did u c the the 10 min gameplay demo vid? its both obviously...stellar gameplay coupled with gorgeous graphics...its what the majority of PS3 gamers are waiting for...so wud u expect nething less?

I think the main focus is on the gameplay. Graphics are good but they don't spend alot of money on doing cg cutscenes like other games. Most of the cutscenes are in game graphics or live action footage. Although mgs4 looks freaking amazing. But that too is gameplay footage. SO I guess it's both in a way.
Metal Gear Solid games have always been the perfect blend of graphics, gameplay, and story. The MGS series is the pinnacle of video games, in my opinion.
mgs 4 appears to have a pretty rubbish camera angle. as well as some poor animation . its focus is going commercial, and the american market.. mgs dropped its roots after mgs2 substance sadly

i have downloaded all MGS4 videos and i have to say i am really disappointed with what i have seen visually, Its all dull grey in tone. Looks like a PS2 game.It looks horrible (for next gen).
But to me its the gameplay that counts, and I love the metal gear games..

are you serious man, i think its pretty unanimous taht the graphics look gorgeous.

Now we're getting into art style. The dull grey is the environment appearance. It does look pretty drab, as the Middle East generally does. However the dull grey textures are very amazing and it's definitely a technical masterpiece.
