I know if you pre-order MGS4 you can get invited to the beta. But how do you get the invite. Does Gamestop call you and tell you or do you get a message in psn?Star67

yes I did pre-order MGS4. In Janurary, when I thought it would be coming out sooner.

IF you pre-order MGS4 then you get a key to the beta of Metal Gear Online. It probably just comes in a seperate pack thats given to you by the retailer.ScottEFresh

ok a little off topic, MGO looks great and all, but wouldnt you agree that 16 people online falls a little short?

with resistance(being a launch title) had 40, and then R2 will get 60? warhawk gets 32? and so on

but the genres are different. mgs4 (and mgo) is meant to be more tactical and sneaky-like.

I think it will depend more on gameplay...i mean i enjoy the big battles on games like warhawk but when i play halo(sorry i have an xbox too) i kind of really really dislike big team battle...hahaha but i guess we wont really know until we try it out right....o and has anyone actually got the invite?(might go pre order now:)

i agree its not many but metal gear solid isnt an all guns out game. more about sneaking and not getting caught. can you imagine trying to play metal gear solid with crazy gunfights that are in resistance and cod4.

i know mgo isnt as stealthy as mgs4 but you cant spring and id imagine controls will be pretty much the same so i think 16 is a nice number. if mgo is anything like mgs4 ill be looking for 8 player games

I think it might be too much, seeing as how MGO was perfect in number of people.

yeah that might be it...i didnt considered like that.... more strategy ah?? what would that be like? :P

i`m sorry i barely play fps, i have 2...resistance and cod4, and i only bought them cuz its all there is right now:P and in both u go runnin and gunnin....cod is a little less run but still....

playing a TPS should be great and better if it is MGO :D...and stealth :twisted:
