Just have the aim ready at head level before the enemies come out. I used to be a master of HS in MGO 1, but getting HS in this MGO seems harder when far away than it used to be.
First off don't use auto-aim. Second off, while of course there is skill to getting headshots, the reason I quit playing MGO is because most of the headshots seem to be random garbage pay and spray crap. Also, when I did play, I found that using Single and Burst Fire were more effective ways to get headshots than just Fullauto.
It's pretty easy but takes practice. I just aim high for the shoulders and adjust mid-fight. Put the center of your aiming circle on the head and pull.
