SO I FINISH DL THE BETA VERSION THEN WHEN IT COMES TO INSTALLING IT THE P2P STAYS AT 0.00000000KBPS WHILST THE HTTP VERSION SAYS NETWORK ERROR, IT TELLS ME WHICH PORT TO USE MINE IS 3870 SHOULD I TRY ANOTHER PORT? AND THEN THERE IS THE KONAMI ID! I GET AS FAR AS PUTTING IN MY DETAILS RIGHT UP TO THE POINT OF POSTCODE THEN IT CRASHES!! ARGHH! PATHETIC SO MUCGH TROUBLE FOR A TWO WEEK GAME!!! GTA IS OUT SOON WHY CANT THEY HAVE INCLUDED THE UPDATE WITH THE DOWNLOAD??? AND AS FOR THIS FLIPPING ID?? WELL DONE KNOAMI WAY TO GO TO GET EVERYBODY ON BOARD AND MAKE THEM WANNA BUT THIS GAME WHEN IT COMES OUT NOT!!!!!!!!
im just trying to find out why we need a konami id... they should have known this was going to happen once they made a site that would have mgs4 info updated all the time, no1 would leave the site and it would overflow and people wouldnt be able to make id's.. i've been trying to make an id for 3 days now... anyone that has made there id around what time of day did you make it? maybe there will be less people on the site server at that time and i might be able to make it at that time

Dude, the key to that particular update is patience, start the update and after about 20 minutes, I got 1 dude giving me like 4KB/s, after a while I was up to 16 with 50KB/s. The damn update took me about 3 or 4 hours to get.
o idk i didnt look, i opened all my ports that i needed open for any game a long time ago when i changed my nat type from 3 to 2, so i didnt even bother to look
I just used the default, 53-something or whatever. And I'm stuck with this ID thing too, I don't even know if I'm doing it right, where are you supposed to go to get it?

think konami are selfish and foolish idiots who just want ppl on their website! there should be no need to get an id just for a game for two weeks!! pathetic!!!
i always get to the age bit, sometimes the agreement page then every so often the details but everytime it crashes! how can it say inactivity when the page loads quick and i enter the details quick!!!
am ahving same problems... downloaded the demo but when trying to download the second part, tried several times with P2P with no luck and when trying from http am getting the usual network error :(

If they force people off you might be filling out info on the site and about to finish and might be one of those kicked off. Be careful what you ask for.

Well you can make a Konami ID straight at their site. i made an ID a few days before the beta realease. it was a little slow but no probs. I'm not sure if it would really help, but it might if you make your ID seperate from the beta Download.

Yeah I'm having the exact same problem as you. Whenever I click HTTP download I always get the network error and whenever I click P2P I never get past 0 KB/s. The konami ID site doesn't work either, so yeah.... quite annoyed. I've been trying to update the patch since the same time yesterday but haven't got passed 0%. Hopefully they will sort their own damn servers out so we dont have to rely on P2P.
God it sounds like I've been 75% lucky here! D/L the Demo reasonably quickly ad the update took about an hour. However getting the password has been impossible. I do agree that it was slightly silly of Konami to introduce the need for ID's etc. Going to ask a few silly questions now, Am I right in thinking that the online game server doesn't actually go live until monday? Also is the game an over the shoulder shooter, like the main game, or a FPS??
I'm giving up with trying to get a Konami ID ~ this is crazy ~ I would only play the beta for the first couple of nights anyhow. OK, I'll try a few more times & then I'm done:cry:
