He was in his late 30s I believe.. that game took place in 2007 and 2009 and MGS4 taking place in 2014 because Naomi in the trailer said that she injected Snake with Foxdie 9 years ago which was in MGS1 that took place in 2005 I believe. However Snake is aging fast due to cloning process and the Foxdie in his body.
old snake is big boss because of the eye pattch and it's impossible because MG3 WAS on 1960 or something like that! and in MGS1 AND MGS2 he looks exactly the same soo this game is just the recreation in outer heaven
if you have the MGS1 booklet read all the prologue and in the characters there is big boss with an eye patch exactly like old sanke (naked snake)

the eye patch snake has in mgs4 isnt cuz he has his eye cut or damaged, that eye patch he has helps him with his mission to tell him wat weapons and analysis the enemies weapon, havent u seen the trailers?? big boss was DEAD IN MGS

wrong eye bud, its solid snake in mgs4 he already confirmed that. the thing on snakes eye is a gadget that otacon invented for him to use in order to get better battle info faster. but yeah big bosses eye that got shot out was the opposit of the one covered in mgs4. so it is impossible for it to be him.

It couldn't possibly be Olga's child. The Shadow Moses incident took place 9 yrs ago, the kid wasn't born until MGS2 which took place some years after MGS1. The guy in the trailer must be genetically enhanced er somethin.
The guy with the mask is raiden hes got no guts and lungs and what not so foxdie wouldnt effect him and he is a member or foxhound so it makes sense that he would be with meryl and second if you look close he has white hair like raiden, thats a rumour i heard
