Well...neither have been released, so you can't say which one has the better gameplay...but I've pre-ordered MGS4...I'll get GTA4 when it comes out, but if you've played one GTA, you've played em all...the MGS series is crazy...best bosses and boss battles I've ever encountered!!
Although the GTA series is fun, i typically loose interest in the storyline and get bored of running around the city after a while. So for me its hands down MGS, the game i have been waiting for since I got a ps3.
back to the topic :P both are completely different. but i can asure you one thing that MGS4 has a better story and for gameplay it depends on your taste, what type of games you like playing. but overall MGS4 ftw
I would say that Megal Gear 4 has better story and gameplay than gta4 based on previous instalments. I love how you can interact with the enemy soldiers in metalgear . like throwing things to them, making noise, follow footsteps etc.oooh that makes the game very interesting. they have awesome AI. And in gta4 people have no intelligence at all they just move stupidly according to what you do. I like metal gear because its more realistic. Obviously in GTA4 you have much more stuff to do all the possibilities have no limit and they are really fun. But I would stay with Metal gear 4 hands down
