Halo 3!! Not a big fan of MGS. I also feel that it will come down to replay value in this day and age. If I'm dropping $60.00 for a game I want something that will last me for a good long time.
From the video's I've seen of HALO3, Bungie seem to think they're reinventing the wheel, when really they're just making HALO2 but shinier. As for MGS4, Kojima really is reinventing the wheel

good post. The difference here is that there's a guy here called kojima, a genious in game industry. MGS4 will be a master piece while Halo 3 will be one more addictive and funny MP game out there. SP side of Halo is completly overrated.
halo 3 will not be a very great game!! very similar to halo 2 and with graphics worst than gears! defenitely MGS4 will get a better score from the media
I still cant find out why Halo has such good scores when the only thing going for it is online, and its not that impressive compared to other games online mode. I mean, you have a restricted number of player that way below 20 when other games let you have way over 20. MGS on the other hand focused more on the SP and in the last one (subsistence, the remake of snake eater) they added online mode, which they are now improving. and they are also adding movement to the FPS in MGS son Halo 3 has no chance unless one is biased.

On 360 forum everyone would say halo 3 is better but imagine mgs4 as a multiplatform game, i bet in that case most 360 gamers/fans would have another opinion.

I wasn't saying to ask it in the 360 forum because then everyone would be saying Halo 3. I kind of meant it may have been better to have posted it in the General or System Wars forum. That way it wouldn't look so one sided.

Well considering MGS 4 is a game that probably wouldn't have a multiplayer mode so once you beat the single player it will collect dust. To me that's a factor. WHile Halo 3 will be played for many many years.

Since last year MGS 3: Subsistence, MGS games had had online MP mode. MGS 4 has already been confirmed to have online MP.
I like Halo more and I'm really looking foward to Bungie taking Halo 3 back to the same style as the first Halo. MGS4 looks like it will finally surpass Splinter Cell in gameplay and since Kojima's real mastery is storyline it could be an incredible game. I know that I will enjoy Halo 3 (in 2 - 3 years when I get an xbox 360) and suspect I will enjoy MGS 4 (next year sometime when I get a PS3).
I think it might be MGS4 because Halo hasn't really changed gameplay from Halo 1 to 2 . Holding 2 guns isn't really a big change in gameplay and the sword just means you can get closer to your enemy .
it's Gamespot, of course Halo 3, you can shoot dudes in the head with the classic assault rifle... Especially now that Greg is gone, who's gonna like MGS now?
The thing here is that Halo 3 wont be known for its graphics because I think after gears of war the bar is set really high for them to achieve that kind of graphics but they can sell only for the fact of the story they input as its the final andhere comes the MGS's advantage till now ps3 games havent shown ps3's potential so being the (hopefully)1st game to show its really potential it should be more succesfull than Halo 3.

I really don't know. I mean, it really depends on how the final product is going to be. Having said that though, I have high hopes that MGS 4 will be rated higher. Not becuase I am fan of MGS series but becuase in terms of ideas and innovation, MGS 4 really stands out.
Halo 3 will score higher i think, since it has great multi and single player, and a great story. As opposed to MGS which has always had just a great single player and story. (The story isnt actually that good, its very generic... but the story telling is good)
