i was just browsing the gamespot site, checking out this Fallout3 game of the year edition, thinking it might be on PS3 with its new installment, all though it didnt have any infomation what so ever, but there was one thing that stood out...MGS on Xbox, the first ever MGS game to be added to the Xbox. All it said was that Raiden is or might be a playable character. This is mad, MGS was born for the Playstations, same with GTA. This saddens me to see such great things coming to an end =[. I do believe the new MGS game is called Metal Gear Solid Rising. Although i had to exit as quick as possible. I think im going green, no not gan green, just grow out of my boxers, smash everything kind of thing. Who here as a MGS fan think this is bad for sony PS3 =[

Ah okay. MG started on Fatcom (sp?) and then went to the NES and then to the Playstation... Also MGS:R is a multi-plat that's also on the PS3 and PC so relax.
MGS1 was on the PC. MGS2 was on the XBox. The franchise does not belong to Sony at all. Plus, now more people can enjoy the awesomeness of the Metal Gear franchise. I can't possibly see that as a bad thing.

Why does it matter if it's not an exclusive? I think that it's a good thing that the awesomeness of MGS will be available to a wider audience. Plus it's not exclusive to the 360... its gonna be a multi-plat.

Theres a 90% chance that Metal Gear Rising is being designed on PS3 and ported to 360 and PC.
ah yes, i forgot about the other MG games beforethe one that was on PS1. Still it is bad knowing that we as PS3 players seem to be losing out on many good games. We have missed out on the add on for GTA4, Fallout 3 and a couple others me think, i just know those one's at the moe. I do hope one day these games will be on both consoles, least that way everyone is happy =]

Snake is on the MSX for Metal Gear 1 and 2. Snake is on the NES for the Metal Gear localized remake and "Snake's Revenge" Snake is on the GameCube for the Twin Snakes. Snake is on the Wii for Brawl. Snake is on the PC for MGS1. Snake is on the original Xbox for MGS2. And if you really think that the game will be really running the best on Sony consoles because they are "predominantly a Sony franchise", then you go ahead and get the PS3 version - I know I'm going to (because that's the only console I got). If it is going to be lead developed on the PS3, then no one should have any qualms about it being on anything other than a Sony console. More gamers get to play, everyone has fun. Also, where the heck is the lock?
calm down -- MGS: Rising looks like a reinvention of the series and we are getting MGS: Peace Walker exclusively on PSP. Really its not that big a deal for new games to be announced multiplatform
