Currently playing it...first thoughts are: graphics are improved over Portable Ops, cutscenes are still comic book style :(...everythings in Japanese so I can't understand anything they say :(
Edit:Take that back graphics are amazing for it being on the PSP,Im stuck on the beach cause I dont know what to do and controls are inverted I guess. Can't wait for the actual game though I also have to get back and play Portable Ops...

Just throw a grenade at the fence door.
cool. but its all japanese so i didnt understand the mission objectives. can somebody here pls post the control config and the objectives, please.
It's MGS, take out patrols to control outpost . . . circle boss, shoot at boss, take cover repeat until victorious . . . what didn't you understand??? Even the cut-scene(which was in Japanese) was kinda obvious which I won't spoil for those waiting to dl and play. I found the game to be more user-friendly than POs which I thought was pretty good for a PSP game. As far as graphics, hud design and menus, well, PeaceWalker is much better than POs so this bodes well for the release copy and its value. For someone like me who can't get enough of the Metal Gear universe, this'll be Outer-Heaven!!! YEAH, I WENT THERE!!!! :Dcool. but its all japanese so i didnt understand the mission objectives. can somebody here pls post the control config and the objectives, please.

i didnt know that you have to throw a grenade at the door until i read messages in the forums. i thought i had to crawl somewhere but i guess there is no crawl on this game.

Why would you guess that? It's either....directional pad down twice, or hold it for a second, can't recall. Makes you go prone.I don't own a PSP but may just buy one for MGS: PW, so my question is...will the PSP GO support it or should i GO with the PSP 3000?? (bad pun)..mack10Of course they will have a DD of Peace Walker...it's one of their biggest upcoming titles...
Wow.... I went prone for a second when it wasn't necessary so I just stood up immediately. Didn't notice you couldn't crawl. That is actually pretty pathetic. And that coupled with the pretty terrible controls for the rest of the actions... I'm kind of nervous.
The production value is top notch, great visuals and such, but it's wasn't exactly alot of fun. :?
I doubt it's been officially confirmed, but I think you can infer. They'd be utterly out of their mind to release a $250 console, and then not make one of their bigger titles available for it. Can't see it happening.
