I wanted to get this game but on the IGN review of it they said that it would be hard playing solo and I am not connected to the Internet on my PSP. To anyone that has it, is it possible to beat it playing solo?

I'm playing it solo right now, planning on playing co-op with buds but its not Demon's soul hard. Its kinda like Metal Gear Solid 1, if you get caught and surrounded you'll get owned just kill fast if you get an alert.

Can't you level up your weapons somehow, if you get stuck?

Yeah, you have to "kid nap" enemy solider and have them work for you in your home base.

I don't know about you, but I'm perfectly fine playing alone.

But, if you have a PS3 connected to the net (obviously) you could try out that Adhoc party thing if ever so inclined.

The only thing that completely stinks is, you need a WiFi point just to download the extra content stuff. Now that, is BS... Hopefully they'll offer it via PS3's PSN or something (since it is required to sign in via PSN anyways)

I think the IGN review said you can finish the single player game alone which is about 17hours according to the reviewer. But that's only a taste of the other content of the game which co-op is almost required. So you can still play it alone. You just won't get the full experience.

I do not have a PSP or the game, but I thought you HAD to have a partner to beat the game (like impossible without it)? I sure hope that is not true! I am thinking I might buy the PSP 2 when it comes (cant be THAT far away) out and get this then.
