what is with MGS: PO? I mean, even if I WALK (holding triangle and moving) enemies hear me from not too far away and it takes 2 freaking stun bullets to knock out anyone. Also, enemies can hear me running even when there are walls in between us! How does that work? It's kind of ridiculous in terms of how stealthy you have to be. If MGS3 is anything like this then I might not even try it (planning on playing it once I get through some of the other games I have). I really want to put my PSP to some use (havent really used it since I beat GoW: CoO and traded it in) so it would be graet if I could figure this game out.

that the stealth mechanics dont really make you stealthy? That doesnt make much sense. I figured I was doing something wrong, but if I really wasnt...well thats just annoying.

Tactical Espionage Action implies stealth. Go play Halo.

If you walk, (holding the triangle button), you can pretty much walk all the way behind someone and choke them before they can hear you.

If you leave the triangle button even for a moment, they can hear you.

And yes, people can hear you behind walls... just like how real life works. If someone is walking outside your door right now, wouldn't you hear them?

Thats really true, and i loved the MGS games right since the first one on PS1 wen there wasn't even any footstep noise! So maybe i'm being nice about it because i do just love mgs but, i think that the stalking mode in mgs po is realistic, i've never had the problem with hearing me wen im stalking and i've completed it in extreme and it didnt happen then either
