What a bummer. i did not know people actually still played it but it sucks for those that do.These kind of things will never happen with Live games.

I dont have the link saved, but last year, when Kojima was asked about online in MGS 4, he said that he was working on it too. And later on another interview, Konami said that they were gonna shut the servers to make space for MGS 4 servers. kenshinhimura16

It has nothing to do with MGS4. They closed it because no one played the game or to push PSP sales.

EA doesn't use Xbox Live servers. They use their own servers and they are actually the only company that chose to do that.
