it's a "remastered" version of the trailer. I guess if they remade the trailer they would have changed the release date if it had changed. I hope this means that it'll come out on the 2007 holiday season.

Yes that joke with "new/old" trailer was funny. Psychology, you spread belief that it is new trailer and everyone believes that there is difference but than comes out Konami and says that it is fake and it is same trailer. Now if most of the people look themselves in the mirror at the exact moment they read that, than i am sure there would be a reflection of a donkey hahahaha
It doesn't prove anything. Konami reports to shareholders said that MGS4 was expected to release by the end of the fiscal year (march 31st, 2008). It hasn't been confirmed for any time, so it's possible it will come out in 2007, but if they changed their official stance to march 2008 possible, it's a distinct possibility that it will come out next year.

Basically the official story right now is 'guaranteed out by march 31, 2008'. It was originally planned for holidays 2007, but we don't know if it will be there in time or not.Â
All I know is my distributor has no infomration and no release date for MGS4.....to me as of right now it's not coming out this year. This could change of course, I would expect an announcement by Aug/Sept if it's going to release in 07 or not.
