That shouldn't really effect it but i don't know i never felt the need to use them.

You can't buy non-lethal ammo on Big Boss Extreme...

I've used it but I don't see a point to itslip_killer

There isn't much of a point to it, but I laughed my head off when I shot PMC Soldiers at the beginning of Act 2 with the laughing tranqs while listening to Boktai 2 Theme on the iPod. Doesn't take much to amuse me.
