Yeah it sucks but the longer we wait the better game we get look what happened to gears Exactly. When they first showed Gears at E3 it was kinda choppy, and the framerate wasn't stable, but then they made us wait, and we got an outstanding game. I know Kojima won't let us down by rushing an unfinished product out the door.

but MGS solid will be on the 360......the reason that their delaying it is because they decided to make a 360 version and they wanna keep the PS3 version inline with the 360 one

They are going to show it at E3 this year, some people are saying it will come out next year, If so that is a huge blow to sony imo..

The more it gets delayed the more likely it stays exclusive for the PS3. Kojima won't want to take more time to port the game over because he does have future game projects. Also the PS3 install base will be large enough to sustain the MGS4 production costs.
Somebody said that it was gonna release in Japan at the beginning of 07 and later on PS3 in the year, but if its anything like the last two MGS games, then it'll release in the US first.
No surprise. They didn't officially anounced it, but it'll probably come out only in spring 2008, at the same time as DMC4, FF13 and FFvs13general_KDI
There is no way they would release potentially Ps3's best games within the same time frame, I would expect one of the final fantasy games to hit in 09'. DMC 4 will come out this fall, MGS 4, will come out spring 08' in japan, and Fall 08' in the states!

The 2008 prediction came from an IGN "prediction" which was already stated earlier. Being that MGS4 and DMC4 were both announced originally almost as launch titles, I would assume they are coming out this year. According to EBgames.com, It's coming out the beginning of July, which makes sense to me, but then again, they may just have a fake date to allow us to preorder. In any case, I doubt that it will be pushed as far back as 2008. If anything, it would be Q1 2008 for a US shipment. I would say that since DMC4 has no release date at all, they are planning on releasing MGS4 prior to Xmas to give the PS3 some boost then DMC4 will come out. Think about it, GTAIV is scheduled for OCT, and we don't have any screenshots, videos or anything, but yet we have videos of both MGS4 and DMC4 and have for a long time. Therefore, both games only make sense as a late summer, or end of year (DEC) release.
As far as FFXIII goes, Ebgames.com has it listed as a DEC2007 release. This may be farfetched, but not really. Think about it, when did they start XIII? Almost simultaneously with XII, that's when. I can remember hearing the news for both at the same time, so development must've started not too long after XII, (plus the development team for XIII was different from XII). So you figure XIII will take longer to make and XII had delays, so a DEC2007 release doesn't seem that pessimistic.
I still think there's a possibility to see all 3 before the new year. If Sony let the release date slip too early, that would potentially give M$ some time to conjure up a counter-plan. So they are waiting till the last possible moment to announce a release date (these games are farther along than you think). Also, I would expect a pretty big game to release around June since Blue Dragon is coming out on the 360 then, and that's going to be a pretty big release (which may give me a reason to own a 360).
