Although I love DMC, I must (in order to live) find out the end of the MGS saga. So MGS4, I really can wait on GTA. Thing is I already own DMC4 so its not a hard decision at all.
I already have DMC 4.. loved it by the way.. I'll be picking up GTA IV as a formality because im not a fan of the whole grand theft games... but since its a next gen and a major evolution in the series (i hope) I will be getting it... and it'll probably be the last GTA game i buy... and Metal Gear Solid 4 is a must buy for me.. and i will be preordering it.. and in the Metal Gear Online Beta.. muah ha ha.. (sorry for the evil laugh... i get overly excited for Metal Gear)..
I own DMC, and it follows in the path of those good 70 or so games you want by the end of a systems life. But its not one of those 10 to 15 super games.
MGS and GTA are just in a different league. Not that they will be that much better. But like AAA baseball is to ML Baseball. GTA and MGS are ML. And their not alot of those games out their.
These super games, get the time they need, they get the money "development coasts." They get every tool they need. Not to say GTA cant flop, because it can. But I dont think it will be bad. And Im almost certain MGS is being looked at over and over and over. To make sure its as good as it can be. Because they have the money, "and they know the importance of it" to have tuns of testers and fine tuners and stuff.

DMC gets a lot of hype and it's a fun game (although usually short as hell) but either way...it is NOT in the league of those other two titles. it's a good game (somewhat overrated) but MGS and GTA are consistently GREAT games. so it comes down to the other two.
I am going to say Grand Theft Auto IV because it is not only the most anticipated PS3 game but, it's going to be REVOLUTIONARY. Follow that up with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots (HUGE game in June) and if you are a fan of the Devil May Cry series this recent entry is worth purchasing. Me, personally I'm waiting for a price drop on DMC4 but, it is still worth it at current price. A new CasinoOutlaw in town.......

I cant really answer this without saying that GTAIV & MGS4 are a little more top-notch than DMC4, but dont get me wrong...I love DMC4, but its just GTAIV & MGS4 have a lot more well one thing $$$ put into the game and another is GTAIV & MGS4 are both online :P so you will have a good amount of gameplay in GTAIV and MGS4 compared to a 12 hour story line in DMC4...but if you are a fan DMC than maybe you might feel differently :D...
DMC4 in the same sentence as those two? *giggles* MGS4 and GTA4 are a must. They're like two months apart, I'm sure you can afford it. DMC4 is worth a rent.
last GTA i liked to play was when the series was in 2D... it bored me to death after that
MGS4 is a must... even if you don't like it, buy it... it will be one of those games to be remembered 10 years after it came out, just like Final Fantasy 7, Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and Pong
