socom. mgo is crap...

Why not order MGO from playasia for $20. Its just the online portion of the game. Also grab SOCOM from a store to play while you wait on MGO to arrive. Its a win win.

This is a NO-Brainer ......Socom is way-way better online...MGS has sluggish controls and less than spectacular maps,community..etc...Socom has a HUGE amonut of people online,gr8 grapics ,awesome gameplay !!! Dont even think for a sec that MGS is better...

SOCOM used to be the best online multiplayer sony had... And then Confrontation came out...

I havn't even played MGS4 but I would still go with it compared to what SOCOM has become.

socom as laggy is almost over. i live in qatar and mostly play in US/JP server. i never had lag as cod:waw.... that game is pain in the ass really.

I have to say MGS4 online.

socom is prob my favorite online game ever and i'm not even a socom fan, i've never owned or played any other socom game until socom confrontation, i only play fps games, and socom has grown to be my favorit, love it. mgs4 online is ok, considering it was a free download, but i only played it a few hours, the single player of mgs4 is like no other, and again i'm not even a mgs fan. if you own a ps3, both games are a must, not sure why you'd want to compare them.

Exactly. I mean MGS4 has MGO but Socom itself is just online and doesn't offer an offline experience whereas MGS4 does and it's one of hell experience and GOTY aswell so what the hell, go with MGS4, you'll probably forget about the online for a while for any game once you try out MGS4's storymode.
