well ill be the first to say welcome aboard then, you wont be dissapointed. No game deservers a perfect score, period.
That's not saying MGS4 is a great title, but it's just my belief that no game out there is perfect enough to warrent a 10.
(and MGS4 sure has its own slew of problems, minor/nitpicky as most of them may be)

This is a short-sighted opinion. Sure, no game can ever be perfect, hence why a 10 does NOT equal perfect. If only "perfect" games can get a 10, there would be zero 10's, and there would never be one, ever. So, in other words, what is the point of even having a 1-10 scale, if the 10 cannot be used? Also, just because a game has a few problems (a slew is way off), does not mean it should be rated lower. Otherwise, that would mean a 5 minute long game with no problems would be the greatest game of all time.
I, myself for the first time, am willing to say there is now a game that is better than Zelda: OOT (in terms of overall; Xenogears is still my favorite game of all time, but not what I would score the highest). MGS4 just feels like so much effort was put into the game, that any of the very very minor downfalls are so negligible that, for me, I don't even consider them. Everything about the game screams quality and care, and I'm not sure as gamers we can expect more than what is given to us with this game.
