mgs4 is game played for its story not online. but online is there for competitive aspects of the game. mgo isnt great but its quite fun when u get used to it.

I can't name anybody who bought MGS4 for the online. Personally, all of the hoops Konami made me jump through just to play kept me from ever playing the game online.
I was addicted to it for a while, but then I went back to CoD4.

This is why I love it, it separated the men from boys and truly takes skill. If you complain that people are better than you, go cry somewhere else. Remeber being killed by morons who shot your feet in COD4? it just doesnt happen here, and people have honor (most people) and try to play well, and dont whore themselves out (again, some). That being said, the servers are utter **** and a pain in the ass, I can rarely play well, and I cant even go on a game with more than 8 players. But when ever I join a game with good people, who like to play as a team, well, its the best online experience I have had.
MGO is a different experience that I find to be unique and better than most regular online multiplayer games. The online is great if you have a FAST connection (sorry DSL users), so don't blame the game when it is actually coming from you're end and/or the other person who also has a bad connection.
TC, yes there are still a lot of people who play MGO still, try it out, but I hope u are not just buyin MGS4 for MGO only.

MGS4 > MGO but according to KONAMI, there are 1 000 000 registered MGO players and that was surprising for me. So yeah there are still alot of MGO players out there.Anyway, I wouldn't include online mode for MGS games if I was Kojima because their replayabilities aren't in their online but their outstanding single player mode which is the storymode of the game. People bought MGS4 for the amazing story.
