It's been over a year now, and MGS4 is still missing a trophy patch. It seems like the development team is afraid of putting it in. http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/mgs4/ Maybe, JUST MAYBE, we can get a trophy patch in. Alot of gamers love MGS4 and trophies, so combining them would be a Godsend.
I'd love a trophy patch, but at this point doubt they will. Maybe if they ever come out with a 'Subsistance" version of MGS4 they'll patch it in then....

it still shocks me to see threads like this. makes me think that half of ppl on here arent gamers anymore. yes ok i understand it brings some sort of replay value to you by playing it and u hear a 'DING' and trophy symbol makes you feel good that u accomplished something. but answer me this? we didnt have NOTHING!!!! abck in the day with NES, ps1 or ps2 or SNES and so on. it didnt stop us from gaming or replaying certain games? i mean for crying out loud, i still play my SNES and ps1 games, cuz they have good story, or good gameplay, or a mixer of 2. thats what really matters doesnt it? if a game doesnt have it then so what. it aint the end of the world or say ohh it dont have this or that, so its not worth playing.
That just shows me theres less and less these days of REAL GAMERS who just love to game. and not worry about stupid trophy being in a game. if it has it then thats ok i guess for those who really need ( like crack!!) lol, and if it doesnt it shouldnt stop anyone from enjoying the game as much as they want. when you pay for a game( or at least me) i make sure i get as much use out of it. and play it a year from now, 2 years from now or longer. like i said i still play the old school games. zelda on snes and nes, legend of dragoon ps1, and more. anyways i think im ranting on here and blabbing too much but yea just my 2 cent, and sorry i dont mean to offend anyone, but just think of it for a sec.? really, does trophy matter THAT much that u have to have it to play a game? or not pick a game cuz it doesnt have trophies?
Joker. Sadly yes, trophies do matter than much to some people. Not sure why anybody cares about MGS4 trophies considering the fact that there are emblems in the game. Or how about making up your own goals to accomplish. Remember when people would do speed runs, or try to kill all the enemies? Now the only reason people do that is if there is a trophy involved.

exactly, make ur own goals or go after the emblems. i mean think of it this way..... these wat i personally think the trophies would be like for mgs4, beat mgs4 in normal, hard and boss extreme. get all the emblems, get 30cqcs, finish the game in 5 hrs or less. all these u can do and u get emblems for them and the good part is u get rewarded like stealth suit, or bandanna for unlimited ammo or the patriot gun. and yea petitions online NEVER work so i dont know why ppl go through the trouble. u can play the game as we speak instead of wasting time on it.

Despite all the trophy hate, I actually would love to see a trophy patch. Hopefully they have learned from their mistakes and will add trophies too all the MGS's that spring up. Although I know it will never happen, it would be nice to see a trophy that I can show off that says "I have the big boss emblem!". Whats the point of an award if you can't show it off? Pretend what you want, but trophies do add replay value and it gives people a goal to shoot for after watching the same cut scenes over and over. Some games are great, but they eventually get old because you have done it all. I would play MGS4 over and over trying to get every emblem if I got a trophy for it. Its not about "being a real gamer" its about having fun gaming. If I have fun hunting for trophies, then what does it matter to you...we are all playing games. Does the programmer who doesn't get to play many games because he's working on them, become less of a "true" gamer? How about the 8yr old who has a blast playing despite his low skill level? You arn't any better of a "gamer" because you play for fun, while others have fun playing. Its the same thing. Quit being so proud.

Here on out every game that is released has trophies, they have done patches on previous games to support trophies, for example Uncharted: Drakes Fortune & Burnout Paradise. It's only wise that one of the biggest games on the Playstation 3 gets trophies, which won't harm absolutely anyone and will just make the people that want trophies happy, & will appreciate Konami. This is just me throwing in my 2 cents.

thats fine if they are addicted lol to it. but when they take it to far it kinda shocks me, about few months or couple of months ago. i saw few threads sayin for example. i aint buying this game cuz it dont got trophies? wats up with that? lol
