...the anticipation reaches a feverish height!
Discussing the "only Snake will be playable" thing, i noticed in MetalGear Saga Vol2, the video where they show the crotch grab running gag in MGS4.
That scene was very peculiar...
First the obvious : at the end we see Young Snake removing the baclava... I'm not worried about this, could be a gag or it will be explained in game...
What had me thinking was the fact that i noticed the guy doing the crotch grab (which we can assume to be Snake) actually has a FoxHound badge on his chest, like Meryl's squad. After reviewing the statue scene it becomes pretty apparent that this model looks like Johnny from that same squad, with the hair showing from the baclava just like in the video where Old Snake tricks him again years later.
So was the player in control of Johnny? Old Snake? Or Young Snake like the seagull ending of that sequence suggests....?
If only one character is controlled by the player, I'm only more curious about that cut-scene ...
And of course Raiden won't be playable guys, he'll be in there to save Old Snake's butt and die just after giving Old Snake the proverbial opening in the Death Star, just like Gray Fox did in Solid 1...
Maybe come back as his own serie if enough suicide pacts, death threats & various mutilated farm animals land on Kojima's lawn (which I hope decency will keep at a minimum :P) after he's done with either Policenauts 2 or the next Zone of Enders game...
