Micheal Bay hates Paramount for dropping Blu-ray!

Read on his blog! He states that he is super pissed at Paramount for dropping Blu-Ray and that He won't be back to Direct the next Tranformers movie!

I THINK THATS FAKE MAN,OF COURSE HE WILL MAKE TRANSFORMERS 2 THEY WILL PAY HIM AS MUCH AS THEY CAN TO KEEP HIM AND DIRECT THAT MOVIE, BUT WE'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE IF PARAMOUNT PICTURES WILL DROP BLUE-RAY FOR SURE, THEY MIGHT CHANGE THEIR MIND AFTER ALL

This could create a rip in the Paramount studios because Speilberg is also going to support Blu-Ray.

Still not sure why they decided to go purely HD-DVD. Seems dumb since Blu-ray movies sells at a 2:1 ratio to HD-DVD. Best thing to do is support both format and dump the eventual looser.

Warner Bros. released 300 on both HD-DVD and Blu-ray, with Blu-ray selling more even though the HD-DVD version is supposedly better (only in terms of features mind you).

Sucks but is good to hear him say that, Transformers was going to be the first movie that I was going to buy on Blu-ray. :?

That would be true if it was only Transformers and Sherk. Remember Universal is exclusive with HD too. They have Knocked Up, Evan Almighty, and Bourne 3. All of which are over $100 mill in boxoffice.

Pretty much this deal was to even out the heavy hitter exclusives.

Blu-Ray exclusive Heavy Hitters - Spiderman 3, Pirates 3, Fantastic 4 2, Die Hard 4, Rataouille (Pixar movie).

HD exclusive Heavy Hitters - Transformers, Shrek 3, Bourne 3, Knocked Up, Evan Almighty

This deal has given HD life and clearly they can finally compete with Blu-Ray software for the first time this year.
