Midnight Club LA - Texture problems

Hi guys,

I've been having issues with my copy of MC : LA on my PS3. I bought the game about a month and a half ago, and everything ran fine, the game was smooth, the textures loaded properly even when racing at 200mph.

But over the past few weeks the game seems to be running worse and worse. Firstly, when I first got into the game some road an building textures took an extra second or two to load and then after a few minutes of gameplay the game ran fine, but after these few weeks this problem seems to be getting worse. Now entire blocks of the city take way too long to load, even after playing for a good 20 minutes I would still be racing along sections of road which haven't loaded properly, even cars randomly pop into the scene. And I would hit invisible objects which haven't rendered yet.

I just want to ask if anyone is experiencing similar problems?

None of my other games seem to be having this problem, so I'm thinking that my PS3 is still healthy.

Any help or opinions would be great.

I would say your PS3 is dying... if MCLA has an install file delete it and reinstall if it doesn't.. return it and try a different copy maybe... americahellyeah

I have a old school 60gb my friend has a new 40gb he has the same problem...this is with my copy not that matters..but so far playin on my system I don't get that problem...

Maybe your hard drive is full?? his is maxed out maybe 1gb free...hes got a whole lot of junk on it.... the game still uses the hdd not much of it is installed...just my guess

Sorry that's all I got wish I could of helped more

I've read many threads about this same problem and I have the same thing too. I have about 6g left on my HDD but I think it's really the game and maybe where your at in it (percent wise) cause in the beginning it was fine and now it gets worse and worse but all the rest of my games run great.

Maybe but like I said the same game (the same save file) on different systems gave a different result...on my 60gb it never happens and on my friends 40gb it does...what ever it is..its not the game...

My PS3 has more than 40 GB free space and I`ve got the same texture problems. It`s just bad programming, that`s all.

Rockstar should release a patch but since not many people play it, why would they care?

ive played the game on both consoles and on the 360 it doesnt happen when you install it but when its installed it does. on the ps3 you cant which sucks i really am pissed of at rockstar for being biased ( again) this should be fixed. on a side note no worries your ps3s fine
