might be getting a PS3 and need help deciding

So heres the skinny:

I have a 360 and the sound keeps going in and out and this is t he second one to do it. So I'm sort of sick of buying upgraded versions of the 360 everytime.

So I'm thinking of replacing it with a Wii, PS3, or a slim 360. Only thing is I'm really leaning towards a PS3 but I don't keep up with the console wars that much since I play on my PC a lot.

How many good exclusives are there now?.....and......What good exclusives are coming out in the near futre.

One last question: I have a PC 360 controller and I was wondering if the USB ports on the PS3 would work with it?

As far as I know the official Xbox 360 controller would not work on PS3 USB ports, however there are some third party USB controllers with shape of the Xbox 360 one if you prefer.

Since you're leaning towards PS3, there are plenty of PS3 exclusives worth owning but the list depends on your personal preference. This is more for your general understanding since I believe games preference purchases shouldn't be judged by scores anyway. Regardless, this list will give your some ideas which games to try.

On top of my mind, near future exclusives I'm interested would include: Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet, Killzone 3, Infamous 2. They are others but I'm not sure when it 2011 they are out.

I haven't own any PS3s yet but KZ3 looks promising.

As for good exclusives (my opinion): Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Demons Soul, God of War 3. Well they look good and look really fun IMO.

Since you already have a PC (my fave), then I would say go with a PS3, then a Wii, then a 360 (especially if you have a PC). I have owned them all and still own the Wii and PS3. PS3 is definitely the best of the three, although the Wii has some great games on it and is a durable, reliable, backwards compatible machine. The PS3 has many great exclusives, such as Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain, Little Big Planet, God of War III, Infamous, Modnation Racers, Ratchet and Clank games, Motorstorm games, Resistance games, and more.

Upcoming games for PS3 are Killzone 3, Little Big Planet 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, The Last Guardian, and many more.

Anyways you should definitely get a PS3.

The PS3 has the best exclusives, and if you like Blu-ray, it'd be illegial for you to not get it. :)FantasyTwisted

blu ray is a huge plus for me. Not what sold me on it, but its definitely awesome to have, especially if you are someone like me who rents series and movies on netflix and gets them in blu ray :).

Just to confirm what someone pointed out earlier, the 360 controller doesn't work on the PS3. The PS3 will see something plugged in but give a message of something like "An unsupported device has been plugged into the USB port."

Do not make a thread asking if you should buy a PS3. This is often a trolling ploy. Read reviews, forums ect and make your own mind up.

wait... not sure if serious, cause now im worried.... like it really makes a odd popping noise after maybe 15 minutes of play. Its hot, but i read in another forum its just plastic expanding

Yeah, b/c one opinion is the best way to go.

if my ps3 exploded right now i would go buy another one just to play metal gear solid 4, uncharted 2 and heavy rain, and MLB 10 the show. all exclusives
