I've been playing since march release and i have no doubt about my opinion of the game it's so smooth, amazing graphics, and littlest details are also amazing so what do you think?
I've played over 100 games online since release, so I agree that it is definitely up there as best baseball games. MVP '05 was also excellent. It's a toss up.

I love MLB 08 The Show however I do have one problem with it. The animations used when fielding a hard hit ground ball that goes directly at your player are terrible. It is a routine play that is made maybe 20% of the time in this game.
Overall no baseball game will ever top Extra Innings on the SNES. So The Show and MVP 05 are left to battle for 2nd place.Â
I agree, the show is a good game. What I enjoyed the most about it was the road to the show which was absolutely fun to see yourself rise from the minors all the way to the major league.
Its a great baseball game...once you get past the horrendous load screens. I swear i thought my ps3 was broken because it took close to 5 minutes for the game to turn on...yes its that bad.I cringed everytime i wanted to play the game because of the loading times...you can literally make a sandwich and eat your lunch before the actual game is playable. I could not stand it, so i traded it in soon after i got it. I sure hope next years game does not have that problem.
I love this game, but MVP 05 has my heart, I played at least 500 games of MVP 05 and still love it, they do need to fix the way they have roster moves set up because I really like to play with the rosters even though there are weekly updates in MLB the show
