I have been having trouble winning in this game. Last week i requested help on pitching and people told me how to use the meter effectively. The first few games i was fine and then my pitching started having trouble yet again and this is all on the vetreran difficulty. Pitching i hold them for a little and then it goes up about to 3 for their score. When i bat i either pop out to outfield and when i get someone on base i hit into a double play. The CPU pitchers give good pitches my batter just ends up messing up the hit. It might be my timing but i honestly don't know please help.

What I hate is havinf a WHEELHOUSE pitch RIGHT in the middle of the yellow circle then popping out to the 1st baseman or catcher and it says " Just Missed" ... Very Stupid ... The whole hitting system is the worst I've ever played

you can move the yellow around with the left stick...if you know it is going to be a pitch low in the zone move it down while the pitch is coming in.

also you should guess the pitch and location..having some knowledge of baseball is pretty important to know what to expect

You have to make sure your location and timing are both correct. If your location is correct but your very early or maybe just early on a change up, your probably going to pop it up. The game is also more severe with timing than location on lower difficulties. I do think the game is harder than it was last year. If you use guess pitch, guessing wrong has a negative effect. I never use guess pitch unless I'm playing against a knuckleballer. Lastly, it just takes practice. With experience you can feel your home run hit as your swinging. Oddly, my CF first season on RTTS was .230 in AA, but in the second season .340 in AAA (I started 0-15). I guess I like the timing faster pitches.

What helped for was not using the guess pitch. I k that seems like it would be harder, but before i would always guess fastball and i would be early on it everytime and groud it out. Now i can score over 10 runs a game on all star with the brewers, and hitting other kinds of pitches are easier. Plus you have to make sure you point the analog stick the part of the zone the ball is pitched in. Maybe this wont work for you but if i didnt stop using guess pitch my rtts guy would have definetally broke the record for gidp's

I agree, don't worry about the type of swing, just location and timing.

Wow! i never knew guessing the pitch effected my batting so much. I just hit three solo homeruns and pulled ahead really fast thanks for the tips!
