MLB 2k7 or the show?

Which do you prefer? mlb 07 The show or mlb 2k7? It would be great if you could give reasons to your choice also. ThanksSully28

I own both and I must say the show is better. MLB 2k7 feels slow at times, loading during innings, slow to start. I dont really care for the fact that every game I play lives and dies by who hit the most home runs....However Joe Morgan and Jon Miller make the game sound like, despite the repeated phrases, a real baseball game.

MLB 07 has no load times in between innings, game-play is more fluid and feels more realistic. I have played through quite a few games scoring only 2 or 3 runs and not felt bored. My biggest complaint against the show is the not so great player models, and the fact that the sound made when you get a hit seems to never change. A HR and a ground ball sound exactly the same, thats not the case in real life.

Both are decent baseball games, but out of those two I must say MLB 07 The Show has a lot less flaws in comparison to MLB2k7.

In what ways is the Shows gameplay flawed? MLB 2k7 allows me to hit a homerun in almost every at bat...is that not a flaw? The fact that 2k7 loads during actual games. Come one 2k7 is not that great.

Do not get 2K7. The game is awful. Controls are horrible. The only thing it has over MLB The Show is better graphics. In terms of gameplay, there is no contest. MLB the Show is amazing. The best part of the game for me is the Road to the Show single player. It allows you to create your own player and take him thru the ranks from single A all the way to the majors. It is very well done.

I like Matt Vasgersian and Dave Campbell. Jon Miller annoys the hell out of me, but I play The Show because it's a better game...that whole swinging with the SIXAXIS thing in2K7is far from being 'good'.

...but MVP Baseball was the best baseball sim around. Yet, EA decided to spend millions and millions to get exclusivity rights for NFL(Madden) and lost its baseball license.

2k7 has coniderably better graphics, while The Show has better gameplay. Depends on which you'd rather have.

Here's a curveball...get The Bigs! It's an awesome game. It's over the top but it's really fun. Me and friends play this game almost exclusively. The games get so intense. It's simple but there is a fair amount of strategy. The only thing is, you probably won't play it that much when your friends aren't around cause the Rookie Challenge is good but you probably won't go through it more than 2-3 times and there is no franchise mode.

But if you want something more realistic, get The Show.

Owned both. I have played almost every baseball game imaginable. Would have to recommend 2k7. The Show feels ancient to me. If you are not concerned about new games I would suggest buying MVP 05. This has to be the best "modern" baseball game made. If you are interested in a game with up to date rosters and the such go with The BIGS as someone mentioned. I had a more enjoyable time playing The BIGS than either 2k7 or The Show.

Get THE SHOW. 2k7 isn't better. If you want a realistic sim of the MLB The Show delivers. If you have a nice TV then you won't be disappointed with the graphics either.

The Show has EVERYTHING you would see in a real baseball game in it. I mean you'll see beach ball delays from fans hitting the ball on to the field. You'll see bats thrown in to the stands on accident. Fielders reactions to their pitchers giving up bombs... EVERY different player does something different. And just unmatched gameplay. Only get 2k7 if you are a graphics whore.
