I was pissed at this too. DSE are currently listing it at $130, though that could change. I know its still not what anyone would call reasonable but it is a slight improvement on $150... RandomBeast
we get ripped of in everything, even food
It's more expensive than other games here in Switzerland too :S How dare them :S Well, I'm getting the Prestige edition anyway, but I don't know if/how hard I get screwed there, I have no clue how much a nightvision is xD

You wanna boycott it with me dude? The game is still only $60 in the US. However from what I've found out the PRESTIGE edition is $150, It may be different in other countries; I just wanted to make sure you guys arent getting them confused :). I wont be getting the prestige edition, because I could get 3 games for that price; but I will probably get the Hardened edition, which is $80. I just hope the game doesn't suck, I have such high hopes for it because CoD 4 and 5 were great games.
just to make sure cause it seems that some people are confused. the person who posted this topic is talking about new zealand dollars, not american dollars, so people won't be paying 150 US dollars. instead they will be payign around 100 US dollars, which still is a ripoff
Nope I don't think it is worth $150. Your just gonna have to play some other games this fall which there should be great line up of other games to choose from while you wait for a price drop because most people are not going to pay that. Instead most people will be playing the game will have pirated the game instead of activision making more money like they think they are going to.
Its all going to back fire. They won't sell nearly as many copies of the game with prices like that and more piracy will be on the rise with that game.
You guys are misinformed. New Zealand's currency is a lot different than that of the U.S. $150 there is about $100 here. Thats still a lot, but new games always cost about $80-$90 there.

Funny thing is, everyone who lives outside of America says how much it sucks here. Case in point! Go USA! Lol. But yeah, thats total garbage man. Don't you guys use region 1 stuff there? Can't you just purchase online from the US or something like that?Wow I never thought it was possible but its happend, EBGAMES this is not a Special edition or nothing, its a normal standard edition, before new release standard editions dont pass $140

well ps3 is region free but we use NZ PAL, and uhhh if we purchase online from US, it'd probaly cost more
I don't think I would pay that much, especially for Modern Warfare 2. MW2 seems like it'll pretty much be a rehash of the stuff everyone sold their soul to in COD4. I don't think I'll have enough money for MW2 after I heard Dragonball Raging Blast is coming out on the same day:D
Sorry Infinity Ward, my childhood memories are more important than an overrated shooter.
