I can't wait till the full game comes out, I literally played the demo alot. Alot of people who are complaining about the demo either isn't good at it or there judging there opinions on the demo. Seriously people, ITS A DEMO!!!!! Wait till the full game comes out then you can complain about it. Theres way more you can do in the full game.

P.S. Mario kart and Crash kart racing was ok, I found that MNR had WAY more strategy to it and was way more fun since there was actually a better reason to drift and that you can do way more in Modnation racers than in both Mario Kart and Crash combined.

the only reason to complain is if your not into the cartoony looks (which I thought was the best feature of the game), or that you have to be good at drifting and you have to know when to shield and when to save and use ur weapons, but honestly I thought that was the best reason about the game.

It was entertaining for a while but there was nothing that grabbed me made me think "I must go put down a pre-order right now".

It was just a meh to be honest. I was expecting more.

I would atleast rent the game first before you base it off of the demo, like I said, theres WAY more to do in the full game.

I have the full game, the demo is nothing special however the full game is bloody awesome, it's a very good and polished kart racing game, the online is slick and people are already making some great content, Modspot is great! cant believe they didnt show it in the demo, and single player even has a story to go with it, thats actually pretty kool and funny, Online racing in this game is seriously fun.

Definitely buying this game, wether or not it will be on launch, I am not sure. I think so, but it depends on the money. I found the demo pretty fun and to me it shows what the game is capable of. I can tell there is so much fun to be had with this game. Games like this with a good multiplayer take a long time to die.

I agree, thats why I'm looking forward to the game. Two player online split screen, a story thats funny yet entertaining and so much custimization, this game will last me a life time (unless a sequel comes out haha but I don't think they really need too).

The demo didn't have enough content to show off what the full game has to offer, which I think was a big mistake on the developers' part. Nonetheless, I loved the gameplay and plan to buy the full game.

the tracks people are creating are awesome, just online racing in it at the moment race about to start woop

Edit> come 2nd, anyway this is a really great game, ur on the edge of ur seat when racing online, the weapons online are a blast, this game is going to last a looonnnng time, I mean it really will be worth every penny unlike a lot of short single player games this gen, Modnation is truly a long term keeper.

Haha I agree, but I said the same thing about LBP not needing a sequel and they shocked me with what has been shown off in LBP2. I think the game will need a sequel NEXT gen not this gen.

25 tracks plus about hmm not really sure but there is already thousands of tracks that have been made by us gamers, some tracks are already a lot better then the Devs 25 tracks.

I have the full game and so far I'm finding it addictive the online is great fun and some of the creations especially the tracks are good to race on. I really like the story mode especially the commentary by Biff and Gary that keep it entertaining. I'm glad the driving was improved it plays a lot better then it did back on beta my only main complaint about Modnation are the servers how everyone gets disconnected all the time I hope United Front Games and Sony sort out the servers.

I played the demo with my friends today. after just 3 or 5 races, we dropped it and played Mario Kart Wii. Driving feels much better in MK. The only thing that MNR does better than other racers is the creative part.

Exactly. Look at LittleBigPlanet - it's been out for a year and a half, and it still has a VERY strong online community... and that's for a game that's a platformer! Online racing is WAY more competitve - MNR should have a strong online community creating new levels for it every day for a VERY long time.

I loved the demo, and I can't wait to pick up my copy when it arrives in stores tomorrow!

Oh, and speaking of the ModSpot - Sony is putting out a custom "Sony VP Kevin Butler" mod tomorrow as free DLC (it's shown in the new Kevin Butler video)... since it's free, I think it's hilarious to think that it'll probably be the most downloaded mod tomorrow - which means, for at least a day, there will be a giant statue of Kevin Butler staring down at everybody.

I don't think it's DLC. What they meant by download is when you download the creations in the game like for any other mod, kart, or track.

Hey, Kevin Butler is Sony's mascot now so thats awesome. I doubt people that dislike the demo will think differently about the full game. Its the driving controls that is the main complaint. I hated them at first but after some time with it its growing on me a little bit. Still too slippery for me though since I grew up on CTR, chocobo racing, and Jak X.

I spent I think a full hour just playing pure race on expert. Finally was able to get first but when it comes to action race on expert with 12 players I only won because I was able to block with sheild from a level 3 blue weapon, which is the only weapon I seem to be able to time right.

yeah, thats the only weapon I can time right better with. I barely survive the level 3 lightning and I can't time the level 3 missiles. I love racing on expert on action race with 12 players, the hardest difficulty for me is always the funnest, though online will probably be harder(which will be even better).

That's why they call it a demo so that way a person won't spend $60 on a game that they aren't sure if they like it or not without playing the demo or reading a review. Dropping $60 for something that you don't really care for is pretty expensive. So if a person feels like the game was ok but it didn't grab them in, there's a big chance of them feeling the same way when they play the full version. Just saying.

MNR seems pretty good but I think that I would probably wait til the price gets lowered.

Funny - the blue sonic weapon always gives me trouble, because even after I shield it, I seem to run into a wave from behind if I'm going fast enough! The Level 3 Lightning Storm is the one that I can usually time right to shield. Hydra missles are a pain to shield - I only manage to shield from them about 25% of the time, if that. You know, each weapon has that "secondary" function where you can drop them behind you like mines. Has anyone tried the secondary function on the Back to the Future Warp weapon? What does it do? I love a good expert race too... That's what I like about MNR - it's hard enough that when I beat a race, it actually feels like an accomplishment. :)

It does though, I feel accomplished haha, and I never tried that haha. I can't figure out how to drop weapons behind me, how do you that?

To drop a weapon behind you, hold the [] button for a second rather than pressing it - the on-screen weapon will change to "______ secondary". It leaves a mine behind you, and different levels of weapons have different effects and radiuses (the Warp secondary is brutal - leaves a bit oil slick looking thing that stops anyone who drives through it).

I tried out the demo and I didn't think of it as that great as it sounds. It's alright really.

I think the ModNation Racers demo only seems like crap AFTER you've been exposed to the awesomeness of the full retail game - before the game came out last week, I was really enjoying the demo, but once I got the full game, I realized how the demo was just the barest tip of the iceberg. But really, the game is so freakin' huge, how could you possibly put all of it in a demo without it being like the most massive download on the PSN?!? :P

If you HAVEN'T tried the full game yet, you'll probably enjoy the demo... but know that it's almost NOTHING compared to the real deal.
