ok this is the deal. here on Gamespot they gave the game like a 5.5 and part 2 a 6.5. and user scores are always highr on both games. both games got about a 8 our of 10.

so i was wondering the game looks so good i want to pick it up but with the gamespot scores its making me not buy it. and when i saw Monster Hunter Portable 2G, for the Japan PSP i was like that game looks cool.

so is Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter2. is a good buy? or should i just leave it alone and get an other RPG??

MHF2 IS THE BEST GAME ON THE PSP! i got it on july 4th and so far have logged 82+ hours, its a tough game, but you can do it with alittle time and practice.

mhp2ndG is comming to the US later this year. its american name will be Monster Hunter Unite.

so if u want u should wait for MHU

Gamers who had bought Monster Hunter basically will either LOVE IT or HATE IT.

This game has a steep learning curve and its difficulty ( No lock-on , lots of patience required and the ability to observe movement and attacking style, holding back attacks at the right time ). Some people just can't cope with the step up difficulty that this game brings. It's not widely received in North America as in Japan.

In the Land of The Rising Sun, people are crazy about this game, the game itself sold like hot cakes, eventually leads to higher sales of the PSP. The newest expansion Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G sold 670,000 copies on launch day and that is more than twice the number of Mario Kart Wii sales on launch. It's the craziest and hottest selling title in Japan, 1.5 mil copies sold in just 1 week is simply outstanding.

In a nutshell, if you're fine with game that has steep learning curve and lots of patience, then you'll be able to enjoy this game to the fullest, and by saying patience i mean some of the monster hunt might take as long as 15 or 20mins to complete, depends on which monster.

thx guys im a fan of RPGs ( no not the rocket lol..)

but i did played games that are hard. i dont know i want to try somethign new for the PSP. cuz most of the US PSP games are really short im play play . like Ace Combat X well nvm about me saying abotu US games... most of the PSP games like AC:X are really short and can pass it in hours in one day. if MH and MH2 is good and long ill check it out... i know that game is cheap to but now. so if i dont like i could just lie to gamestop and say it does not work on my PSP and get ym money back

yeah Monster Hunter is the reason I bought a psp and Monster Hunter: Freedom 2 is one of the best games the handheld has to offer. Trust this game will keep you busy for months. Hell maybe even years, I'm still playing it.

Monster Hunter is a really good game, which provides a lot of play time. The game can really test your patients, but in the end its worth it....

Like Danny said, it's a love it or hate it game. Personally I tried MHF2 and I couldn't play it more than 20 minutes..I don't know, it's just something that turns me away from it, and that coming from a huge RPG fan, but MHF2..meh.

probably cause u suck, u cant cope with the difficulty, maybe u should just stick to a baby game like crisis core, ive played it, its too easy.

mhf2 is the greatest psp game, ive logged 85+ hrs to date, and i just got it on the 4th of july. it takes about 15-20 mins to kill some monsters, depending on ur weapon.

there r 2 different types of quests, the elder quests, and the guild hall quests.

the elder quests r easyier than the gulid, it takes about 15 minutes to kill any elder monster, its soo fun.

the guild hall quests r harder cause the monsters get faster and have more hp. guild hall quests r really meant for 2 or more people.

but the guid hall quests can be beaten with time, and practice, and some helpful youtube videos.

What the **** is your problem idiot? Did I hurt your feelings by not saying I liked the game? What the hell man, it's just I didn't like it, it's not that it was hard but the presentation in general didn't draw me in. So calm down and stop insulting me just because I didn't like a certain game.

Holy, can you stop acting like little kids? So what if he/she didn't like the game? Why do you even give a damn? Theres no need to just go quote someone for no reason.

If your going to fight about it, don't do it here as none of us want your useless spam on this thread.
