Also the game has a surprising amount of depth, for instance there are I think 11 different weapon classes, each with pros and cons, my personal favorite is the long sword's it's so fun slaying giant monthers with huge awesome looking weapons made out of bones and stuff :P I just don't know what Gamespot has against the Monster Hunter series, it must not have enough chainsaws's in it, lol.NP, enjoy it :D
one final thought, its really hard at some parts keep that in mind.

well its actually not unfair, i put in 2 hours and didnt like it at all, sayingit is medioicre is giving it the benefit of the doubt. i HATE all of the characters, they look so stupid, i hate how some of the moves areactually videos and are not being rendered (like the bees in the woods) i hate the story, its so unispired and totally generic, just like the weapons. the mini game part is super boring. i will agree the combat is very fast paced which is nice considering the random battles are too frequent. all that for $40?? im sorry but its mediocre.
P.S. there are chainsaws in MHF2 :P the kirin thunder element duel swords.
Yeah MHF2 is a great game. I gave it and the previous MH a fairly good score in the player reviews (my 2 cents). However, I'll agree that it is hard at some points. I've been on the verge of throwing my PSP through the window on a number of occasions due to the enemies. On the flip side, when you finally do kill off a huge monster there is a sense of "HUZZAH!" that goes with it. Feels good, ya know?
Also, I won't post how to do this, but I've heard there is a method for getting MHF2 to play online (not adhoc). Sounded like some software/hardware knowledge was needed. :)
My 2 cents, what?
