Its a real turnoff that it doesn't have real online :(SoAmazingBabyYes it is. It is the only reason I will not buy this game. I do not know anybody with a PSP.
When people say you have to by close to the other people to play using Ad Hoc, how close are we talking? Like same city, same state, same country, what? And what is ad hoc anyways? I don't have a PSP yet, so I have never heard of ad hoc.

Ad-hoc is the wireless function built in on PSPs which let PSPs connect with each other. The range is actually a few meters (probably similar to the range needed to connect using blue tooth)
And as mentioned above, there are methods to connect your PSP over the internet, it just takes some extra effort on the PSP users side because the internet systems aren't "plug and play".
Xlink Kai works great. Aside from connecting your PSP to the net, it also works for connecting your Xbox/Wii and other consoles over the net.
If you also own a ps3 there is a program on the japanese psn called adhoc party which lets you play adhoc 'online'using a wired ps3, all you would have to do is make a japanese account, dl adhoc party and away you go, best thing to do would be to go to youtube and search for adhoc party guides and how to make a japanese account.
