So, I've been reading alot about this "Demon's Souls" game and how "HARD" it is. Now, Having played tons of games, I've got to say one of the hardest I've come across is the Monster Hunter series. Actually, so far, its probably one of the few games that i can consider the hardest one I've ever played.
After playing monster hunter for a while though, you start to become really good and it just turns easy. It's all part of the learning curve, though Monster Hunters was pretty huge.

So what I'm leading too with all of this is, How does Demon's Souls compare. Is it Easier, About the same, or on a whole other level of hardness. :P

Never heard of the Monster Hunter series. Usually when people talk difficulty they bring up Devil May Cry 3, Ninja Gaiden or Shinobi.

Demon's Souls isn't that hard. It's just very unforgiving.

Demon's Souls is harder over all I feel (you can be owned by the small fry)

Now I find doing the final top tier monsters by yourself in MH would be harder than DS.

Though DS tighter controls and combat do add some more ease though.

DS though provided enough motivation (enjoyment) to complete it. MH has not for me at least.

To be totally honest, I didn't find Ninja Gaiden to be hard at all :P Just my two cents.

Well, With co-op, it makes monster hunter childs play. If you solo the whole series, it's quite hard. Especailly those dual missions where you have to slay 2 monsters. [QUOTE="dercoo"]

Yeah, MH really isn't that enjoyable to many. I loved it but hey, I'm probably wierd for it.

I think MH Freedom Unite can be way more unforgiving. Like i got up to the tigrex mission. Which i beat him after 3 tries. But every montser that i must beat is too hard andi cant even touch them. Worse yet there is nothing i can do to upgrade really. You cant level up in MH. All the monsters below that level are useless to farm for. So im stuck with same weapons and armor to beat a monster i couldnt beat the first 5 times.

So its like you will spend 30 mins fighting one monster only to lose money and items and gain nothing at all.

I spent 3 hours in one day fighting and fighting and go no where.

In DS at least you can gain stats and new items if you grind

Demon's Souls starts out hard because of the steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it the game is pretty easy. It's really about learning the patterns of your enemy and taking it slow.

Looking at a lot of bloodstains I notice many people die because they charge inrecklessly. When most enemies can kill you in 1-2 hits if you are not careful it's always best to take it slow until you know what you are doing.
