If they are free i would download them, otherwise i'll save my cash for new titles. Im not sold on saving bought games on the HDD. can i download them again without paying if somethign goes wrong with my HDD?

The games will probably be around 5-10 dollars. Once you buy them, you will always own them even if something goes wrong with your hdd or you delete them by accident. The ps store will remember your purchase and will be available for free download.

I should have Midway Arcade Classics 2 lying around here somewhere for my ps2. MK1 MK2 MK3 Rampage World Tour N.A.R.C. so i don't need to purchase those again :)

Except these titles will be in 720p, and have online capabilities. MKII online sounds really hot to me.

Gauntlet seems like it is getting no love, I wonder which one it is. The original one for nes had pretty good multiplayer. I wonder if this game will be online to play with 4 others. I probably get Mortal Kombat, Rampart, and maybe Gauntlet.

Just so you all know these games (don't include q-bert)won't be coming out at the same time. Midway said they would be releasing one each month or at least with some time in between each release. I will be getting MK2, Gauntlet and Rampage (love this freaking game)

BTW, it's Gauntlet II. The press release names all the games from Midway: Mortal Kombat II, Gauntlet II, Joust, Rampage World Tour, Rampart and Championship Sprint.
The real question, knowing that they will have online play, is whether or not they all support voice chat. Sure, you can get away without it on all of those games except Gauntlet II. It's a must-have there, and would greatly enhance the others.
