I wish there was more than like 3 PS3 games you can DL from the PSN. I don't mean like the 10.99 games. I mean like the 'full games'. Like RDR or UC2. Games like that. I would buy them this way. I'm sure there's a lot of legal issues about this and that. But does anyone else wish there were more....how should i say it.....PS3 disc-based games on the PSN? Good idea or Bad idea?

I think that would be a good idea, although I believe they are currently working on getting Ps2 games up there. I hope.

-People always say this is why they never buy stuff from PSN store...worse comes to worse. Just delete the game then. You can always re-dl later. But PS2 games would be nice to have up in the store. But i doubt it. The PS2 still sells, and lets say the game has online play? They would have to cut it down to like SP only. And some games thrived on the online line. But i would like to see some PS3 titles on the store.

In this gaming gen it's impractical if the game is more than a couple of gigs.

The standard Ps3 only stores 120 GB. If you start downloading 10/20 gig games all the time then you would run out of room and have to delete far too often. Nevermind the fact it still takes most people a hell of a long time to download 20GB even with broadband connection. Who's going to constantly download, and re-download games around 10GB or 20GB in size? (obiously PS2 games fitting on a single DVD disc theoretically fits into a 9GB download, as does a multiplat that fits on a single 360 disc, but even a "maxed out PS2 game" still presents a problem for most people IMO)

Sure. I wouldn't use it, but I can't see how it would hurt. Didn't the last update do something to stop sharing?

I've got a 360 gig HDD, I'm down for that.

I already have a good 20 games on there, half of them are full PS3 games, bunch of themes, HD movies, music, ect. and I've got a good 260gigs of space left!

Gaming is slowly converting to everything being downloaded, and next-gen Digital Distribution is going to be a lot bigger and widespread, so don't worry.

you basically have to give them your login and password and they re-download from the PSN store.. i'd suggest only doing it with friends in real life as its a great way to get your account stolen online.. (oh and you can only have a game on 3 consoles including your own)

They'd take many hours to download and you'd better have a really big hard drive. Other than the novelty aspect of downloading games, it's very impractical. And what if your PS3 died and you had to re-download 10 or 20 games at 25 hours each? That would sure be fun. Same with trying to download a AAA title on release day, at the exact same time that several hundred thousand other people were trying to download it.

It works okay for small games like minis, PSOne classics, and PSP games. But console games come on disks for a very good reason.
