then Black ops? I have been eyeing Black Ops for a while now but seeing what people are picking over the other I may need to give MoH a try. I keep seeing people say Black Ops will just be "another" COD. If that is true I rather not get it either....Who else is going for MoH over Black Ops?

If that were true then MoH would have more pre orders. The people who keep saying Black Ops "is just another CoD" have no idea whats in store for the franchise. Unlike MW2, Black Ops is taking a huge step forward and Treyarch is promising us just that. Infinity Ward never told us MW2 was goin to be innovative or something completley new. They just teased us, gave a few info on content, and that was about it. While MoH may seem very good and a fresh experience, i really wished it were delayed and worked on more. Everything i've seen about it makes me wish it were delayed. 2 engines sounds like a turn off. Especially when theres no destruction 2.0. But its still a wait and see.

MW2 might have sold well, but it's a terrible game and people know that. I just think people are getting to excited for MoH though.

So your argument is that people know it's a horrible game and that makes people go out and buy it at a record pace?

Really?

Both games will sell well, BO has more poreorders then MW2, MOH is the highest preorder of any MOH game in its history.

In fairness everyone thought MW2 would be brillant before it came out,now were hoping Black Ops will redeem the Call Of Duty series. MoHs single player story seems pretty cool and some awesome graphics ect but MoHs online is another story........

You're right, some people do say that Black Ops is another CoD. What they don't say is that all CoDs are awesome , especially MW and MW2.

It may not sell as well (sales ARE everything, right?) but I'll be picking up Medal of Honor way before Black Ops. The changes made to the COD franchise over recent years haven't been beneficial to seasoned players, but to the noobs who claim Modern Warfare 2 was the greatest FPS ever. I'll be going into Medal with an open mind while on the other hand, I know exactly what to expect from Black Ops: campers, killstreaks and trash talkin' tweens.

Ummmm.... MoH has killstreaks which were inspired by Call of Duty. /Faiil And if you are letting "tweens" stop you from every buying a game, then you sir do not deserve to play an M rated game.

Whichever game has good single player (and not that pathetic 5-6 hours experience) will be my purchase. Multiplayer is only a bonus for me.

I think people are interested in MoH because it's a different franchise apart from CoD and Battlefield that has some nostalgia. A lot of folks myself included are hoping MoH will bring back that legit singleplayer FPS campaign that seems to be sorely lacking this generation. Shooters are almost all about the multiplayer. Sure the CoD games have singleplayer campaigns but lately they've been nothing more then a breif 5-6 hour cinematic experience. Online multiplayer is great, but some of us do still enjoy a good immersive story in our games rather then just random online chaos. I doubt MoH'a multiplayer will beat out Black Ops, because it's really nothing exceptional. I think it will be solid fun alternative, but no it's not going to be the new thing. It's just not that innovative, but for those of us looking to get away from CoD it might provide some respite.

Basically the people looking forward to Black Ops probably only really care about the multiplayer portion. I'll admit what Treyarch's been doing looks promising and they may fix many of the issues from MW2. It's hard to say it will pan out though as Treyarch doesn't exactly have a record of making very good CoD games. The fact they've had no beta is also again concerning. At least MoH had a beta and from what I can tell the developers seemed to have fixed/changed a number of things based on player feedback. That said though most people looking forward to MoH are doing so because they're interested in the campaign and or are tired of playing the CoD games.

The only thing selling MoH is graphics and a reputation, which is exactly what happened with Killzone 2. (and everyone thought that game was amazing at release and the community turned on it a few months later.) The last MoH for PS3 wasn't all that great and from the looks of the gameplay, this one is just going to be a modern day Killzone 2. People know what to expect with the CoD series, and its formula works well enough for its loyal player base to continue to break records. I can see changes when I look at CoD:BO where I can't say the same thing for MoH. Although the CoD community sucks, BO looks like the better game.

its because activision has 10 million people brainwashed by the COD machine. I have 3 friends that only play their xboxs for COD, buy the new one each year, and they trash on my PS3/Wii cause im not hardcore like them. sadly this is the attitude of almost everyone i know who plays COD. I still play COD4 and will be getting MoH.

I would not go as far as to say the MP is dumbed down, however I am disgusted at the fact the campaign is 4 hours. It just shows you that devs of FPS do not care about the actual core of the game, and just want to focus on the MP :(.

I'm picking MOH well because it comes out first. lol I'm very skeptical about Cod Bo. Even though I feel treyarch does a better job with their mp especially when it comes to maps. I've been playing cod since ps2 and well codmw2 was way to noob frinedly for me. MOH seems like it might deliver that old school fps mp. You know where the better player did better. But I'll be picking up Cod because it is cod afterall right.

Well duh. Everyone and their Grandpa has pretty much played the CoD games this generation. Seriously I don't think I've met any guy around my age who hasn't. So yeah a lot of people are going to get it. But it probably won't sell quite as much as MW2 since the series is starting to get a bit old This is the 4th CoD game we've had now this generation. True a lot of the hardcore multiplayer crowd is going to get BO for sure. However I don't think there are a lot of folks interested in the campaign cause let's be honest it'll probably be about the same as WaW. But the CoD games are pretty much all about the multiplayer now days.

MoH is an older series and it's fallen by the wayside in recent years. Obviously MoH is not going to be the next big thing. But it does look like a solid FPS game nonetheless. Just because a game isn't mega-popular doesn't mean it's bad. Truthfully I believe the game looks like something of 8.0 or 8.5. That's all I'm expecting. I'd be surprised if MoH even sold 1 million copies on the PS3.

Also I highly doubt the campaign is only 4 hours long. Someone's been uploading gameplay from an early copy and they're (12 ten minute videos) two hours in already. And they just got to the first Ranger mission. Given how many missions have been show-cased and how many more probably haven't the game has got to be longer then that. I'm pretty sure the game will at least be 6 hours long if not more like 8 or 10 hours.

Well MoH is pretty much just trying to be like a Cod/modern warfare game. Is this a bad thing? No, ofcourse not, but it's just sad to see so many modern war fps games this gen.

Someone on Justin Tv played through it in 4 hours live. I never understood the 4 hour campaign people sometimes claim to be. Who the hell has the time to sit and play through an entire game for 4-5 hours? MW2 took me 2 days to complete on Normal. CoD4 took me a week to complete on Normal. Killzone took me forever to complete because it was long and the ending was retarded and difficult. I think people should go play multiplayer first and play single player when they get bored. And why whould someone pay $60 for a game just for the single player? lol?

Because they don't enjoy constant online competition and wish to experience well told single player experience that doesn't last 4-6 hours? Take a good look at Orange Box, Bioshock as examples. That's how you do proper FPS, at least in my book.

Why should I pay 60$ to be constantly killed every 1 minute? I'm exaggerating a little here, but you get the point.

Why can't we have well done single player experience in 10-14 hours as well as fantastic multiplayer?

Ask the devs and this new hype train that Call of Duty 4 hours single player campaign started. Developers saw that can get away with as minimum as possible SP and just focus on MP. That will never be worth my 60$.
