For me it's Thane, the part in his loyalty mission
where you have to follow Talid and he utters a prayer and disappears is so awesome
My favorite character as far as back story and loyalty mission was easily Legion. My favorite character to have in my party, though, was jack. Of course i was strictly soldier so it was nice to have her biotic powers on hand. In fact, here and Thane were my squadmates for as long as I had them.

You can't have that character in your squad in ME2 even if he lives. The most badass is Mordin Solus.:P C'mon, he's a cold blooded killer and a brilliant scientist.

Garrus is definitely the most badass. I mean, come on. He held of three, count 'em, THREE gangs by himself for like a day. And he took out a gunship. :P

Wrex from the first game, and Grunt from ME2. I'm bias to Krogans.

@Jerkface You only see Wrex on Grunt's loyalty mission. Personally, I hate how subtle some of the interactions are with characters from the previous game. Other than Garrus and Tali (and Liara with Shadow Broker DLC) the rest are only a part of the game for a minute or so. I was looking forward to chillin with Captain Anderson some more. After seeing how he knocked out Uedina in that last game... that's my boy. lol

I actually got more out of the smallest first game references than those involving main characters. The woman from the station on the ice planet (forget the name) where I helped take down the mayor of sorts - it was nice meeting her again, having a drink, and engaging in a bit more espionage. Same with the crazy fan in the bar and the leader of the mafia group I let go and then stumbled across in another planet's nightclub in the second game. All the main stuff, in contrast was pretty disappointing. Anderson has a handful of lines and not much else. The whole council decision is basically meaningless. Wrex either is there or isn't, and changes nothing other than a handful of lines and his voice actor. And any crewmate that isn't Liara gets a handful of lines slapped in the middle of a mission before they disappear again.

Yep. I feel the same way. I enjoyed seeing people I helped throughout the first game much more than I cared anything about seeing my old mates since they hardly had anything to say. The changes the decisions in the first game made are pretty pointless overall.
