Which site, in your opinion, has the most consistently accurate game reviews?

Personnally I like IGN, but don't trust just one review, NEVER.
You'll miss out on some excellent games, HS, and buy stupid ones.
No site can pull off an accurate review, because it's been all opinion lately. Games are scored based upon opinions of "professionals" that look for the flaws in a game, rather than enjoying it. I let the gamers' reviews influence me more, because they actually play the game. Other than that, I make my decisions based on what I like, not some random people that get paid to look for the negative in games. Granted, I do look at the reviews and think if a game in question would be worth trying, but thats why we have Blockbuster and Gamefly...:)KamuiFei
A professional site gives a review, so the general public "who has opinions" can have an idea, not a opinion. And that is a law. Sports commentators can give opinions, Reviews with scored, by professions, they cant.

That is true, however every review has some opinion behind it. The pros just back it up with facts and don't refer themselves in the review itself. If reviews were strictly just facts about a game, every site on the internet would give the same score for every game. Everyone has an opinion about something because everyoneis different and have different tastes in things. I might have said "all opinion" before, I didn't mean literally of course hehe. But you are right in saying reviews are meant for the public so they can have an idea about the game.
i like ign.com and gameinformer, but like king said gamerankings and metacritic are your best bet.
I really dont agree with most of gamespots reviews anymore... they're all over the place
easy... gamespot of course :Pdiablos101
Um yeah right bro, gamespot is never accurate with its reviews (Assassins creed 9.0, Uncharted 8.0) theres your proof.[QUOTE="diablos101"]easy... gamespot of course :Predskins2156I really only use reviews to get a jist of a game after hearing about the elements of the game. I can pretty much tell if i will like it. If im still not convinced ill check the fourms and gamerankings.
I actually take all the big reviews and calculate the average. But i don't need a stupid review to decide if a game is good or bad. I will decide that myself. But overall i think gametrailers are the best.lazeaai

I would say IGN, They said AC blows and it does. Drakes is way better, and they showed that threw their score. AndC is great and they show. But they did not like HS to much, and I agree with that also. Its a ploy thow with this game. And thisis what you kida waited for. I mean RandC made everyone keep their guard up. And now it maybe time to do something so?truenextgen

Agreed. Why can't everyone have this kind of mentality. Get the games and rate them yourself.[QUOTE="lazeaai"]I actually take all the big reviews and calculate the average. Gametrailers have me watching reviews about games I don't even care for. That's how good they are.
The only time I didn't agree with ANY site, was on the box's life support game.;)
I too use Gametrailers for there reviews. Get to see the HD videos without having to upgrade like gamespot.Gamtrailers has fairly decent reviews. I trust them. But, I watch GS's reviews, and Gametrailer's reviews to get the full effect of the game. Sometimes IGN as well.

i agree 100% def
For me it used to be Gamespot. But after r&c and Uncharted I don't think I should go by their reviews anymore. All previous r&c got around high 8's and low 9's and now TOD gets 7.5. The game is basically the same as the other ones so shouldn't it have gotten around the same scores?
To get a good idea of a game I read many reviews and see what they agree on and disagree on. For Uncharted, many agreed on good graphics, animation, challenging (as a good thing), voice acting, good replay value, gameplay could have been better, platforming never got frustrating, game length is kinda short (but hey, ND never made a long game), and that pirates do get tiring after a while. Gamespot's review is the only review I have read so far that seem annoyed by difficulty and attributed it to the THREE hits that it takes to kill someone and how many hits drake can take (despite him having the ability to heal himself).
Games are getting as bad as movies now, some get 4 stars and then the local newspaper gives it 2 stars.
For me it used to be gamespot as well, however the reviews of the last year have definitely taken a great deal of confidence from me in their game ratings.
Any more I have more faith in Game Informer reviews than any other cause they are well writen, provide at least two different opinions on the review for high profile games, and seem to actually care about what is important for gamers in general rather than that reviewers personal tastes.
