Umm i can't say seems like every since Halo 2's release theres been ALOT of overrated games on all system's... either that or the steam just dies down right after release like with Dirge of Cerberus, Splinter Cell DA, & FF12!
But overall id have to say somewhere between Rfom and GoW, I mean GoW had the gfx but it's story isn't quite there nor is it's gameplay revolutionary, with Rfom the way insomniac spoke about it's Blu-ray space and what not you'd expect it to recieve numerous praise for level design, weapons, and sound.
I can definetly see Crysis being overrated with the best in PC going to Quake wars and MGS4 for console's, out of any genres/existing series these two seem to have changed the most while still keeping what we know and love.
I know you guys don't want to hear this but... Resistance: fall of Man... period. The game has average graphics, and average story line, average enemies, an average main character development, and an average control scheme. The only thing that allows this game to stand out is the online play and a few of the weapons. Other then that, it was just a good launch title. I don't see why everyone is treating this game like it's Gods' gift to man just because it's the only FPS's on the PS3 right now. ALSO! Take that description, apply it to Halo, and replace the last sentence with this... "I don't see why everyone is treating this game like it's Gods' gift to man... it's popularity spread like the plague through hear-say and hype alone just because it's system was dieing. This game, to me, also started the whole "If you don't play it, you're not cool" thing. I"m just tired of hearing about it." (and yes... I've played and beaten both of these games (including halo 2) offline and have played them online as well (online was pretty cool though as stated above)... so you can't sit there and say that I don't know anything about them...) Lastly... this topic doesn't belong in this specific forum...
I dont htink quake wars is on consoles whoever said that.
For the xbox/360 i woudl say Gears, and HALO!!!! i own it for PC and played it on the xbox... i must say its not fun at all. Its way more fun on the PC but on the xbox its just plan poo.
For the PS3 i would say resistance, its killer online but the single player isnt that great, also the online can get boring. Its still very fun though.
i would say Resistance fall of man everyone said this is a must have game for the ps3 but its not as good as everyone hyped it to be. It gets old fast in the begining its pretty fun. Online is actually ok but not anything u should praise.
360: oblivion... ps2: final fantasy 12... pc: company of heroes... (dont got a ps3 yet, so i cant say anything about that, but i dont think rfom looks fun, i thought it looked booring since the first time i saw it in 2005...
this is a bit off topic.. and to keep it stay in topic.. i'm just gonna suggest ps3 games i think madden games are overated or any ea sports game :| that is coming out for the ps3 (lol but maybe i am biased cause i'm still mad with what EA did buying all names -.-)
and if anyone is talkingbad about gears of war they havent playedthe game fun as h!lli actually hate the game cuz it makes most of the others like it seem likecrap
Oblivion, it's an RPG with absolutely no character development. It doesn't make any sense that it won awards for best story because of that. It robbed FFXII of it.
