Most overrated game on the PS3.

But what about the most overrated? What game scored high, but didn't deserve it?

Personally, Resistance, it sisn't score very high but for me it was not a great game. I personally would give it a 7.5 due to a dragged out story and repetitive gameplay.

Uncharted, very overrated, very short, bad voice acting, very cliché and predictable moments.

However, the gunplay was fun and the graphics were very nice.

Assassin's Creed for the following:

• Pointless "sci-fi" story
• Same tricks in all cities/situations
• Same dialogue ditto
• Same tasks ditto
• Someone shoot that bloody crow that keeps screaming

GTA IV hands down.

I would say Assassin's Creed, but the magazines that I read and trust rated it quite low. So I cannot count it as being over-rated.

Agreed. Say what you want about Uncharted, but it had, without a doubt, some of the best voice acting in the industry.

The most over-appreciated games I've played however are GTAIV and Oblivion. Both are good games that I do like, but both had some glaring flaws that it's pretty hard to ignore. I hope to god Bethesda learn from Oblivion's mistakes with Fallout 3 >_>.

GTAIV dragged itself down by a lack of extra content (which previous GTAs were known for), repetitive missions types and annoying 'social' aspects. Oblivion was dragged down by the fact that since enemies level with you, you never really feel like you're progressing. It can make the game feel very unrewarding and frustrating if you don't level the right way.

GTA IV hands down.

As much as I think that GTA IV was overrated, at least I thought it was still good... Assassin's Creed was a mess and one of the most overrated games I've played ever.

Agreed. I didnt like it because of the whole 'animus' thing and the repetitive gameplay

Assassins Creed. Soooo repetitive. Retardedly simple button mashing combat system. It froze constantly (at least on my system). The same tasks over and over in every city. Terrible enemy AI. Almost pointless dialogue in the future sequences. Oh and a terrible ending. But a good story, great graphics and a decent enough premise to build on. They should put out a beta for the sequel or prequel. Whichever they choose, and listen to fan feedback.

Thanks for the heads up on Uncharted and GTA4. I almost bought them both the other day. But could not be pleased more with the other two games I chose instead (MGS4 and Burnout Paradise)

My vote would go to Call of Duty 4.

While I find it to be a solid game with a pretty high level of polish, it, frankly, bores me. I truly cannot get into the game, online or single player, and I really don't find it any better (more fun) then any other generic shooter on the market.

Again, I recognize that it's a good game, I just raise an eyebrow when I think of the high level of praise lavished upon this game.

nyc05 hit the nail on the head. COD4 is the most overrated game to come out this generation. It did nothing special and is nothing special, it's a simplified version of the Rainbow Six Vegas series.I did like the single player however, but the rest of the game was nothing more than your generic shooter.contracts420

Really? Guess it didn't do much for me, I thought it was pretty bad, but perhaps it wad due to the cliché lines/characters.

100% agree with this guy.

Warhawk,,, pretty damn boring and considering its online only, pretty shallow. I have a feeling Resistance isnt that great and only benefited from being the only half decent exclusive at launch,, havent played it other than demo (which was a load of meh)signore
