Most overrated PS3 game?

Out of all of these, this is the order in which are they are overrated:

LBP>U2>HR>MGS4>Gow of War III

So GoW III is the most overrated. You don't have to make an order, however.

So what do you think is overrated in the Sony section?

I'm going to go out on a limb and just say Gran Turismo 5.

I found it to be a complete let-down to the series. To me, it just didn't seem like its own game. Most of it was 'homage' to the rest of the series... which is fine but I wanted to play MGS4 not MGS1, 2 and 3 again. The Bosses didn't bring anything new to the table, and when they did it was to joke about how 'times have changed'. I also didn't appreciate how the story tied up... but then had to be re-tied up in a downloadable extra because Kojima just isn't that good at telling a story. Let's not forget that MGS4 was not only completely weternised and mainstreamed to its detriment rather than benefit.

Some parts of the game were great! But it wasn't enough. The set-pieces weren't that interesting, Otacon may as well have gone it alone, Raiden's back-story was laughable, Johnny randomly turning into a sex-god after he takes off his mask was just stupid and who in their right mind, when creating a world organisation, would recruit Sigint and Para-Medic (the most useless people in the entire MGS3 game?!). The fact that Big Boss came back from the dead...'twice' was one of the biggest gag reflexes I have had, made worse by the fact that the content in his speech was really good, but there's only so much I can 'suspend disbelief' as Kojima puts it. And wasn't the ending supposed to tie up Snakes story? Instead we got a fangasm session with Big Boss who completely steals the limelight leaving Snake to say stupid things like "Am I going to die?" WELL DUH! He crawled through a Microwave, hell he played the whole game knowing his time was coming and putting his life on the line... he even had a gun in his mouth! But for some reason the Man 'Snake', who is capable of ending lives of hundreds, can't bring himself to end it. NO!

The whole thing went downhill after Act 3. And to top it off... MGO was bad. Really bad. [/spoiler]

But this is just my opinion, of course.

Uncharted 2.

Kill zone 2, resistance 2 where all over rated for what they had to offer, and trust me i know my shooters. Metal gear solid 4 was also a huge letdown for me, and little big planet may be good but i never seemed to like it, and dont even get me started on ratchet and clank.Dark_Kaden

Any reasons on those? :| You didn't say anything that you did like, or the reasons for the ones that you did. Also, if you hated all these, what is there thatr can be overrated left? :|

Hmmm I have not played HR, but out of the other four it is either GoWIII or LBP (although both are amazing games), because UC2 and MGS4 are 2 of the best games ever made.

MGS4. The cutscenes was awesome but i felt the game wasnt for everyone, but overall as a video game, it excels in all areas.

What is this crap? games must be mainstream to be amazing? :P It definitely is not for everyone, but neither is WoW (dont care for it), but that game is undeniably great (for an MMO). MGS4 is epic (in terms of story and such) on a whole level video games have never seen before.

Uncharted Series. Apart from looking nice the game is mediocre at best.

See bolded text above ;). I realize many people disagree with me, but from what I have played of R and C, I just do not see the attraction. There isnt really any fun or challenging platforming. The combat is usually pretty mindless and repetitive, and game seems linear and easy. It isnt bad and it has some good production values, but I do not see the appeal at all. I was playing it on the hardest difficulty and didnt have a single proble, AND didnt have much if any fun :P.

none of your poll options are overrated games, those are just brilliant games... (what is it with crappy polls nowadays :s) id say heavenly sword or haze...Foxdies

Poor developers, put all this time and effort into games and people have nothing better to do with their lives but complain and bash on games. No one is forcing you to play any game you don't want to. Enjoy what you want, and ignore the rest. Don't go out of your way to insult it

God of War III i liked it alot but....there were some aspects of it that were well, that held it back a bit. Such as its length.

Uncharted 2 and MGS4 are very overrated IMO.

MGS4 IMO, I just couldn't get into the game. It was too slow going for me. The rest of the games on the poll I love, just not MGS.

The top 3 overrated games - MGS4 , Little Big Planet and Valkyria Chronicles.

Don't get me wrong i do enjoy playing it but I think Demon's souls is slightly over rated. Sure it's a hard game play is one good aspect because it teaches you to take your time and not rush in because you will die.... A lot however I personally found the controls to be clunky and quite poor visuals.

call of duty. all they do is release a glorified map pack every year. they never even add anything to the gameplaystarwarsjunky

Most sequels don't even usually change gameplay that much.

I don't know how people could not enjoy LBP, there's always lots of fun and unique levels to choose from, you can find like any level you could ever imagine, not to mention how fun it is creating your own levels (though I'm terrible at it).
