Most UNDER-APPRECIATED PS3 Game...

I've been loving inFamous lately. First half is good. Second half is exceptionally good in my opinion. The fact that it wasn't even nominated for PS3 Game of the Year is downright sinful in my opinion. Somehow I get this feeling that a lot of PS3 owners missed out on this gem.

I loved all of my nominees, but it seems like most PS3 owners missed the boat because of the lack of hype for these fantastic exclusives.

I'd love to hear what you guys think and have an intelligent discussion about great games that get too little hype or credit.

And I missed out on Ratchet and Clank during the PS2 era. Joined the party in the PS3 generation. Love these games...wish more people did too.

By the way, feel free to add me to your Friends List if you are looking to play with a mature, 25-year old, team-oriented gamer. Only bother adding me if you also use a headset for team oriented games.

I really enjoyed dead space when I picked it from the bargain bin, I was desperate for some fps action in the middle of summer and this was well worth it. Not just a good shooter but some nice twists on the norm, like shooting off limbs rather than just blast at the head and body, and using the guns at the right angle to achieve this, very simple but made you think a little more than usual

Ratchet and Clank:ACIT. It's a pretty awesome game and yet very few people think it's as great as the PS2 R&C games.

Far Cry 2

PS3 version of Eternal Sonata and folklore.

FEAR 2 and Dark Sector are both amazing, but don't get recognised at all

Without a doubt Ratchet and Clank. The game is pretty fun and i have had a blast with it.

Infamous as well was a great game got my plat on that

It's a shame, if that game had a trophy patch, I'd gladly buy a used copy and replay it. Or Sony could be smart and you know...give it the Greatest Hits designation and re-release with a price drop.

Modern Warfare 2 is a brilliant game which is underrated because of the apparent 'controversy' behind it. It is without a doubt the best online game out!

I encourage you all to buy BioShock. Walmart still has it and it's only 20 bucks! It's made by Bethesda, so it feels a lot like Fallout 3. It's amazing!

Totally agree. I voted MLB The Show due to no one ever recommending it to someone who is new to the PS3. I've had my PS3 for 2 years now and when I picked up MLB 08 The Show I knew right then I made a wise decision buying the PS3. Best sports game out IMO.

I'd have to go with Ratchet and Clank. I loved ToD, but for some reason I just haven't gotten around to buying ACIT. Don't know why, I just never got that excited about it even though I loved the first one...

Agreed. The PS3 version is catching FAR to much flack. It's not bad in any way, shape, or form.

Regarding inFamous, I personally think an 8.5 is a perfectly appropriate score. The game has serious pacing issues, and the way that new powers is unlocked EVERY TIME was terribly uncreative/yawn inducing.

i dunno, i think heavenly sword is a great game. it was just far too short. the graphics and voice acting were right there with uncharted. the use of the sixaxis is still the best ive experienced on the ps3. and the combat system was fun and fluid. if it were longer and more to do, maybe side missions that game would be a 9 or 10 in my book. i do agree it should get a price drop though. more ppl would buy it and experience what a first rate title it is and why nariko was loosely used asthe ps3 banner girl for a while.

and i think infamous is overrated NOT under appreciated. it just feels like they rushed certain aspects of it. that or ran out of time/money. that happens to devs a lot.

Soul Caliber 4 unbelievebly under appreciated on here play it online for a bit (with a good connection)and you will see its the most accomplished fighter ever!

GTA4 a lot of poele didnt like it and its an awesome game, no question about it.

Agreed. I like it a tad better than Up Your Arsenal actually. It's my favorite in the series for sure.

Oks so i just downloaded and had a go on valakya chronicles and wow it seemed really shoddy haha. Whats so good about it? Yes ive not given it a chance but from what i played it seemed lame!

i think you live on an island because many of the games you listed have a very large fan base and are appreciated a lot. 2009 was a great year for gaming and you can nominate all of the games that came out for GOTY

I think it is going to be MAG after it comes out. I love the game, but it seems several reviewers do not meaning it will not sale as well... as long as the die hard fans get it though I am good.
