Hi,

I recently bought a PSP for my son who is 10 years old.  He told me the psp would be able to download demos off the internet.  we read a review about getting the usb cable.  Ok we got that.  Then we download the new version upgrade thru Network Update so we got that.  I read the sticky and now I'm confused on how to put the demo on my pc.  You said removable drive.  My removeable drive is E on my computer.  And when I click on that it says.  (Please insert disk in drive E: which is my CD drive)  I don't know where my usb connection is on my computer.  It has to be the C drive right?  But I'm not finding anything.  I'm the only person who can do this for my son.  If you don't have any assistance or the patients could you forward me to a website that could.  And the Playstation website is just plan confusing.  I'm going to keep it real.. I need psp instruct for dummies.  Thanks.

Plug the PSP into your computer with the USB cable. Turn the PSP on, and go to the very left-hand side of the menu. Scroll up or down until you see an option called USB Mode. Click that, and your computer should recognize the PSP and bring up a menu that asks what you want to do with it. Choose "Open to view files." From there, I think you can follow the rest of the information in the sticky. If you still need help, feel free to send me a PM and I can try to work out the individual issues for you.

Well assuming your using windows XP, when you put your psp into usb mode and then connect it to the PC via usb cable win XP automatically picks up a new device and ask what you want to do with it. in this case pick browse files, the open up the  psp folder go to games and then click and drag your demos to that location.

*note* most demos come in a Zipped format you would would need to unzip first then click ont he file and drag(or right click > copy and then paste) into the folder.

To the settings menu in the PsP (To the left) find USB mode, then stick it into your computer.

Hi every one thank you so much.  I going to try these step when my son come home from his father house.  I'm very grateful to everyone for your help.  I should have told everyone I do use XP and I have a memory stick.  when I put the usb in my computer reconized a new hardware put I don't recall it asking where I should put it.  I did not know I could create a file on the psp so I will try that.  Also someone said I can download the demo thru the psp.  I didn't know I could do that.  That seems easier does that mean I will need to go the internet on the psp and download as usual? Thanks again.

You should also note that you should format your memory stick using the psp....if you havent already. it would create the needed folders also.
