Sony recently announced plans to make motion-controllers for the PS3. (see the May issue of Game Informer, Loose Talk section)

What predictions can you make for the quality and acceptance of such controllers, and what PS3 titles do you think would benefit most from incorporating motion controls?

Again, read the Loose talk section of the May issue of Game Informer. Sony is developing motion-controllers to compete with the Wii-remote.

yes, they're making controllers that will work like the Wii-remote, but reportedly will use better technology.

I'm not sure if it's coming to PS3 as well as 360, but I think MGS4 could really benefit from motion controls.

MGS4 is already made you turd. By even mentioning that they might try to impliment the NEW tech. that hasn't been released yet, when MGS4 is closing in on its launch date is just a whole new level of dumb. Fail.

Thats abit harsh dnt u think and btw a patch cud easily implement it.

Not a tad bit harsh >_>... to think that Kojima is going to delay MGS4 simply due to implimenting some new fangled "motion sensor" is a bit moronic. The chance of them adding it in a patch isn't very likely... considering the way he makes games is specified for tech. at the time. :P

They arn't making something "exactly" like the wii-mote. More than likely just a controller with more movement functionality; if so, there's nothing wrong with that. Taking the controller as it is, adding more functionality to it, maybe upping the battery life (because lets face it... to everyone that buys a new controller with the dual-shock, the battery life will more than likely be cut in half if the vibrate function is turned on). That would put Sony on better terms with people who are looking for more fun and innovative games that have to do with movement (Ex: Ace Combat, Warhawk, Boxing games, FPS, the list goes on), I don't think that as soon as they come out with the controller the advertisements would render previous controllers obsolete and DEMAND that you buy a new one. As long as it isn't required for ALL games and just a select few, I think that it's an innovative step to integrate something with a different system. Besides, if no one used someone else's ideas towards their own companies advantage, then we wouldn't have computer mice (They were invented from a company that made printers).

Oh dear God, I hope not.

I already owned and sold my Wii because I enjoy my PS3 the way it is much better.

If anything, if they DO go through with this, I hope that it would be in a fashion like PS Eye. Have this new device come out for PS3, and only a handful of games to go with it, but not made into a dominant form of gameplay.

Ummmm no offence to the other gamers, but some gamers such as my self, like the PS3 because it IS a gaming console. The wii is more like a family console where it's not fun unless you have a brother or sister or friends to play with it. Compared to the ps3 where it's still originale sixaxis and natural feel of the controler and the games of which you can enjoy by yourself for a number of honnors or invite some friends over and do a co-op misson or somthing with them. Personally i don't think the PS3 would get much sale boosts if they copied the Wii, this means they're aiming for people that don't have a wii but want to buy one yes? So why would they buy a console that's tripple the price of the Wii and play a game which non of you friends have? I'm the only one that has a PS3 in my japanese group lol, but i still love it. If want Sony to make games more focused on the montion sensor built into the sixaxis than bring in the wii nun chucks. The only game i use the motion sensor is folklore, and i acutrally want to use the montion sensor more offen, but i can't really use it in motor storm or FPS. But still having raving rabbids on the ps3 would be kinda cool :P

If you're referring to the subject of this thread, then I will state for the fourth time:

Game Informer magazine, May issue, Loose Talk section, page 24.

It would be nice for a different version maybe to integrate that... but for now they should just stick with what they know works :P If it ain't broke... don't fix it.
