It's a fun game that lacks in content, but it shows the PS3's power pretty well for coming out so early...overall it's a fun online racer but if I were you, I'd get Resistance as my first game.

I'm so glad you said that. I'm getting my PS3 and was looking into getting Resistance as my first game. It was either that or Motorstorm but after reading the reviews, I chose Resistance.
I love Motorstorm but as an arcade racer it's hard to recommend as your only game. It's really fun but best in short doses. Due to it's arcadey nature you probably won't play it for hours on end. I would also recommend R6:Vegas, Oblivion, Warhawk looks good and is out in a week too. Oh and Ninja Gaiden Sigma, if you like Action games this game is awesome.
MotorStorm is very good, actually i was playing it right now, but gotta say, Resistance is much better overall, i got Resistance first, all thanks to this forum, now i got MotorStorm, and i do not regret.
I got my PS3 about a week or so back, and I got Resistance, and must say it is an awesome title. I rented Motorstorm and The Godfather the other day and have to say that Motorstorm is more of a rental type title if you arent going to go online because it lacks in content...

I got a pack deal in Aus with extra control and ps3 came with motostorm and resistance, i think it is a really good game driving the trucks can be a **** and the no split screen play had me going waaaaattt but the online is good and the graphics are very nice. Its a good first game for the PS3!!!!
at first it was pretty fun, then after a week in of playing, it became super addicting!! i love this game, not alot alot, but enough to play it regularly

Yea its wicked. Its a bit different from other motor games because its not all about speed. You have to choose the right track for the right viercal otherwise your gonna loose. Aka a motorbike should be high up,a truck, down below smashing all in its path.
