Both are really great games. Some say motorstorm doesnt have enough content, but i keep on playing it. The online is a bit hard at first but i started to get into it and now i cant put it down. Resistance is the same, awsome online and great single player. It really boils down to what you like better, racing..... well destructive racing with awsome crashes that give you a huge rush, or an awsome shooting game.
I would say Resistance. I got Resistance at launch and played it for months before I got tired of it. MotorStorm on the otherhand I got the import version in December and played it for a bit but it didn't have the longevity Resistance had, even after I got the US version and played online. I love racing games but MotorStorm wasn't simulation enough for me, I'm waiting for DiRT and GT5. On a side note F1 is a good racing simulation that is challenging at higher difficulties and has great sense of speed.

Ha! take that! anyaway i dant have much experience in either games but resistance stood out as much better to me and i am a person who likes racing games and doesnt really play many shooters.
After beating resistance I haven't played it since. Online is overhyped. Get Motorstorm cos its a great example of what the PS3 is all about e.g. Sixaxis and Crazy Graphics. Resistance is just cliche. Sorry resistance lovers.:(
