Motorstorm Pacific Rift SALES

I saw some where on the internet the sale of Pacific Rift first week was less than 50,000. If thats true this could be the end of motorstorm.

Anyways, i got it s few days ago and its non stop fun and the graphics are just plain damn HOT !!!!

not being funny, releasing a game like motorstorm at the same time as gears 2, resistance 2, fallout 3, far cry 2 and LittleBigPlanet.... what did they expect. there are so many good games out at the moment, and whilst motorstorm is a fantastic offroad racer.... it just cant compete.

over time it will do well tho

I think the first one sold that good because there weren't a lot of titles in the early life of the ps3, and most those sales are from bundles if I'm not mistaken.

As the only used PS3 game I've bought so far, I bought the original from a friend at work for 20$ awhile back, and I never could get into it. I'm glad it was so cheap, because it' been collecting dust. I'll download the demo for Pacific Rift andsee if it's worth a buy.

I am getting the game eventually, perhaps for the holiday season. I do want it but there are so many great games that have my attention such as NBA 2k9, Resistance 2, Midnight Club, LBP, QoS, Fallout 3, etc. I am overwhelmed, so Motorstorm 2 will have to wait.

The game only sold 3million + because for about 5 months it was bundled with every console. and its £19.99 every where

I wasnt impressed with it, infact it was the reason i didnt get a ps3 till mgs4.

Now the games are rolling out :P

I have to say tho, its not doing too bad in my store.

It's doing better than LBP , which hasnt taken off at all

after playing Pure and Burnout, the demo felt really sluggish and unresponsive.

the sales for first game mustve taken into account the bundles right? otherwise selling 3M is a shocker

Well considering that I've seen no advertisements for this game at all, and the fact that I would not even know it wasn't released if I had not been keeping up to date with the game must mean that there was not enough public interest generated by this game. Sony has to advertise much more.lightlink7

I personally see commercials for the game all the time and IMO it is awesome.

They should've made that demo available to EVERYBODY initially, but noooo they didn't wanna do that. They wanted people with Quore to get exclusive 1 month advance try. I lost interest pretty much after not playing the demo so took it off my "to get" games list. I didn't buy it, and I most certainly wont! Actually I'm kinda happy sales did bad, maybe they'll give us all the demo asap next time.

oh look its bumblebee mario ... You do realize they did still launch a demo of the game before the game came out to the general public, they just gave an earlier build of the demo to qore people a month earlier.

Of course he knows, he said it in his post. However, I don't think getting a demo out 2 months in advance helps as opposed to one month in advance. Actually, if its two weeks before the game actually comes out I think thats a better idea. When I play a demo and I have to wait 3 or 2 months for the game to come out I usually forget about it. Naruto demo was actually good and I played it a lot I probably would have gotten it on the spur of the hype but its died off now and other games have caught my eye like Mirror's Edge and Valkyria Chronicles,

The only way the first Motorstorm reached those sales numbers was because it was bundled with the PS3. Maybe Sony will do that with Motorstorm 2.Videodogg

THIS. It is unfortunate, though, since both games are stellar... even if they do feature the most brutal/cheap AI on the higher levels ever seen in a game.

Dont worry.... Sony doesnt do simultanesly release everywhere.

And i didnt bought my yet... and i am buyng... so +1 next week.

And.... Sony doesnt do any advertising.  Takes time for word of mouth spread game is good.

And EUA has so many 360 fanboys is crazy...

demo is a bad represenation of the game. if u like the demo then get it. if u dont like the demo it still is good. i hated the demo but loved the game.
