I mostly play single player, but if the online is well done then i get online too. I LOVE Warhawk, and Resistance online was great. Motorstorm as well was actually more fun online than it was offline. But i think ant game should have at least some offline campaign.

a game single player only always end up giving me the feeling that once it's played, it's finished

... like you have seen it all, you have killed hundred of times the same stupid A.I.
but when there is some multiplayer you can play the same map 50 times and still have felt lots of different experiences ... where the people weren't always playing the same way

so far btw, based on the replies Ive had so far:

PC: singleplayer all the way (with a few exeptions)

x360: 50/50

Wii: more singleplayer

Ps3: more singleplayer

so far singleplayer is prefered over mutliplayer. Id like to see more replies though

Singleplayer.:D I don't want a game that the only reason it's good is the multiplayer.

For me it's both. Sometimes I like to be isolated with an rpg and other times I like to kick someone's butt at fighting games. Online can be fun sometimes but other times the jerks can ruin it.

It depends on the game.Duckman5

Definitely, the one thing that annoys me the most is when agame that has amazing potential doesn't reach it. Most of the time, the quality of one aspect is sacrificied for the quality of the other. Do it well or don't do it at all; delay it if you have to, but if you intended to include a single player campaign and/or a multiplayer aspect, then make the time to do it.

That being said, I'd prefer single player to multiplayer if I'm going for one without the other.Insome cases, I would prefer any form of single player campaign, even a dumbed down version. For example,I would've liked Warhawk more if they delayed it a little bit and included the single player campaign they had initially intended to include.

I think that's because the 360 has alot more shooters which Is like the bulk of online games are about.

Im not surprised by the 360 forum;) I thought all forums, except Wii maybe, were to be mixed 50/50 nowadays. PC btw is forsingleplayer ALL THE WAY so far. that one surprised me the most.

Single player definitely. Don't have to worry about lag, 12 year old kids, and I don't have to spend 8 hrs a day on their to compete.

I'm suprised by the wii. But I think that may be because most gamers that play wii and visit gaming forums are more hardcore and bought the wii for games like zelda and mario. The wii is made for party games but it has lots of really top caliber single player games. It's tempting me to get one. Pc is suprising too. Considering pc is synonymous with online shooters and mmos.

Yea, I remember playing mmos for hours upon hours and not doing much else. I can't stand them anymore.

I don't exactly share your opinion, not completely, If the single player is super entertaining for me, then i will always go back and play it through again. Multiplayer for me is just a test of patience nowa days, Partly cause im not that great and partly cause the community is mostly pretty annoying to say the least. But if the game has a really great Online AND single player like COD4 then i would play both.. i just reached level 43 in COD4 a couple weeks ago :P
